NIALL POV:
The boys and I are all relaxing on the couch watching a movie, when I notice my hands start shaking. Then, my hearing goes all off and I hear a bunch of ringing sounds. My heart rate picks up. I can't breathe.
What is happening!? Am I dying? I think I'm dying.
I start shaking, I try hiding it from the boys but Liam notices.
He takes a quick glance at me, then a double take.
"Ok, pause the movie."
Someone pauses it quickly.
"What's wrong Ni?" he asks softly.
"I-I don't know! I-I'm sorry... I'm sorry! I don't know what's happening! I think I'm dying."
"Hey, I think he's having a panic attack," Zayn says.
"Is that what this is Niall, do you think?" Liam asks.
I shrug.
"I'm sorry! I-I don't know."
"Lemme try helping him," Zayn says.
Liam nods and Zayn comes next to me.
"Look, Niall, everything is going to be okay, you're having a panic attack, but don't worry, everything will be ok."
It doesn't help very much.
"Ok, Niall, what are five things you can see right now?"
I don't see how this helps, but I label some.
"Uh, th-the TV, the-e c-couch, Li-i-am, y-you, and my hand..?"
"Great, now what are four things you can touch?"
"M-my shirt, th-the couch, y-you again, and da pillow."
"Awesome, you're doing just perfect, bud, now three things you can hear."
"Your v-voice, mine, and th-the wind outside."
"Amazing, and two things you can smell."
"You and I's cologne..?"
"Heh, ok, now last, something you can taste."
"The chocolate cake I ate a little while ago..." I say giggling.
"Are you ok now?" Zayn asks.
I nod.
"S-so what happened? How come I'm not dead?"
"You had a panic attack, bud, sometimes it feels like you might die, but you won't."
"H-how do you know so much about these?"
He pauses a little before speaking.
"I- let's just say I've had a lot myself."
"But wh-what if it happens again?"
"You can always call me," Zayn says.
I smile.
"Thank you Zayn."
He smiles back and we hug each other.
