( there is a two week time skip)

The last two weeks have been weird. Bella and I haven't really been talking because she is hardly here anymore. She made some new friends , which I'm not mad at because I have also made new friends. Well, a new friend. I do however miss her because it gets a little lonely in the dorm by myself. I have been talking to Maria though. She is so sweet. We have been studying together and got Tim Hortons a few times together.

Syaire and I have been getting closer as well. Just the other day we went to this art museum with Maria and it was amazing. I'm enjoying our little trio.

Arjun and I hardly talk. He sits next to me everyday in poetry class but he hardly speaks a word to me. In chemistry class we have a project on crystals. We are given three days to make them. I keep giving him ideas but all he says is "No Saanvi."

I'm not doing too well in chemistry and I need help studying. I would ask Arjun but he already thinks im stupid so I don't know what to do.

It's Thursday today which means the only class I have is Chem. It doesn't start until 1:00 and it's only 10am so I have some time.

I'm currently sitting in bed reading The Love Hypothesis and I get a message on my phone from my school app thingy. I go and check it to see that Arjun messaged me.

Arjun Dupont- Come to the south chemistry lab now.

Saanvi Amin - No.

Arjun Dupont- please Saanvi.

I sigh and get up grabbing my shoes to meet Arjun at this stupid laboratory.

I walk to the laboratory and once I walk in no one is there, not even Arjun. The fuck? I think to myself. I walk over to the counter when I see our "crystal", it's mushy and not hard. What did this boy do, oh lord. The door opens and I see Arjun walk in with his lab coat on and a bag of chips in his hand.

"What did you do?" We both speak at the same time.

"Someone added too much sulfate." Arjun says before walking over.

I get quiet. The other day I did add more sulfate thinking it would make it bigger. Uh Oh.

It's like Arjun can read my mind because he says:

"Don't touch shit else." While glaring over at me.

"It was an honest mistake, Arjun." I say looking away in embarrassment.

"A mistake that I now I have to fix. A mistake that will now set us back. Dont make mistakes, just be fucking better." He says to me harshly.

I say nothing.

He glances over at me again and his eyes soften when he sees the water forming in mine.

" Listen, just let me know if you are going to try anything before you do it, okay? I have been working hard on making this perfect along with finishing my other science projects."

I nod letting him know I understand.

There is silence in the room. Not awkward silence but we both don't know what to say so Arjun speaks up.

"Death Note is an anime that is about a boy who writes names in a book and then they die." he says while awkwardly looking down playing with his hands.

I laugh a little at his awkwardness.

" Did you know that monkeys form the same emotional bonds humans do? Also dolphins have rape gangs." He says but this time he looks up at me and he has a small smile on his face.
