I woke up with the nastiest headache today.I think its because im so stressed out. I had been up since like 9am trying to finish this chemistry report and simultaneously work on my poetry assignment. My brain is on overtime. It's also about time for my soft locs to come out, these bitches are past due.

Maria came over at 10pm and brought me coffee while we studied in my dorm. She and Bella started to help me take my hair down and we were done around 1pm. I went to wash my hair and decided I will be rocking a wash and go. I checked the time and It's now 1:30pm and Arjun wanted me to meet him in the laboratory. I have my pjs on and didnt feel like changing so I just grabbed my backpack and laptop. Since Maria was leaving she gave me a ride to the science building. When I got inside I walked to the cafe real quick to grab a coffee when I saw Ryan working the register.

"Hey Saanvi!" Ryan said enthusiastically.

"Hey handsome." I joked with him.

"What can I get for you today ,buttercup?" He spoke.

"Not you with the nicknames too." We both shared a laugh then I told him my order.

"I got you." He said when I tried to hand him the cash for my drink.

I smiled and thanked him walking over to the lab.

When I walked in, Arjun was hard at work. He looked very deep in thought as he was mixing chemicals and jotting down data. I clear my throat to catch his attention and he turns around and waves me over.

Once I'm in his proximity he points to the chair that's on the left of him and I sit. To my surprise he grabs the bottom of the chair pulling me closer to him.

"Watch this," he says before getting up and walking to the lights. He turns them off and the flowers light up like little nighlights.

"Wow, it's so pretty." I say smiling.

I look over to him and I see a small satisfied smile on his face.

He turns the lights on and walks back over to me.

"I finished our project, how's the report coming along? " He says, staring at me. His gaze is overwhelming. I feel a bit tense.

"Its finished." I say barely above a whisper.

"Show me, Saanvi." He says without looking away from my face once. I breathe in before pulling my laptop out of my bookbag.

"Umh. it's impossible to hum while holding your nose." He says to me.

"Huh?" I say as I pull our chemistry report up.

He then grabs my nose and pinches it.

"Arjun what-" he cuts me off.

"Hum for me , Saanvi" He says, looking me in the eyes.

My mind gets discombobulated. I forget everything I have ever learned when he looks into my eyes.

"Hum?" I am confused.

"Hum." He repeats.

I do what he says and hum. He begins to laugh. Oh his laugh is lovely. He has the kind of laugh when the joke doesn't even have to be funny but you laugh because they laugh. A contagious laugh.
