Arjun

I asked Saanvi to help me study in the library today although I understand everything in chemistry. I feel bad about the whole beach altercation. Sy'aire has stopped talking to me completely and honestly it's hurting my feelings because he is my best friend. Scratch best friend, he is my brother. Times when my mom or dad would be gone for days at a time his family took me places with them, brought me things and treated me like their own. They do the same with Ellie. Sometimes I call Sy'aire's parents mom and day because the bond I share with them is deep. I love them.

I know I'm supposed to have this whole "hard and angry" persona but deep down I feel everything on an instantly intense level. I'm trying to hide my feelings for Saanvi but I can't. I can hardly be in a setting with her and not have her near me or in my reach. I doubt she feels the same way though. I treat her like shit because I can't comprehend my own feelings. Ive never had a girlfriend before.  I mean there is Lily but she isn't Saanvi. Nobody is like her. She brings out a competitive and soft side of me not many people know about besides family.

I'm so deep in thought that I didn't even notice Saanvi had walked into the library. She looks so beautiful today. Her hair is still in its natural state. So big and fluffy. She is wearing a brown dress that hugs every curve on her body perfectly. She is breathtaking , truly.

Saanvi struts over to the table and sits down.

"Hello." She says to me dryly. Like she can't stand being around me. I don't blame her though.

"Hi Saanvi." I reply with a smile on my face. She immediately panics.

"Is there something on my face?" She questions.

"No," I replied back.

"Then why are you smiling?"

"I can't smile?"

"Around me ? Fuck no." She replies dramatically.

I just sit and study her for a bit. She then shakes her head and pulls a mirror out of her book bag examining her face. When she sees that the only thing on her face is beauty she sends me a side eye.

"Hm." Is all that comes from her mouth.

"Let's start studying!" I say enthusiastically.

"Is Lily your girlfriend?" She asks me randomly and the happiness that was once on my face washes away.

"I'd rather die." I reply truthfully.

Lily is cute, yes ,but I don't like her like that. I think she likes me because I do all the work on our biology projects so she thinks she needs to butter me up. There is nothing truly appealing about me. I'm socially awkward.

Another hm escapes Saanvi's mouth. I watch as she pulls out her laptop and she begins typing, not saying a word.

"You're supposed to help me study." I am slightly annoyed that she isn't giving me her attention.

"You have a better grade in the class than me, I checked."

"You checked my grades?"

She falls silent and begins typing on her computer again without giving me a single thought.

I grab her laptop and pull it so I can see what she is typing.

There is a email open that the subject line is: "new chemistry partner"

"Give me my laptop , Argie, '' Saanvi says. I laugh a bit at her using that atrocious nickname Lily gave me.

" Why are you looking for a new lab partner? "
