Rin

We find Jaken and A-Un (at my insistence) before going to visit Kaede and the others--which is where Jaken went when he left earlier. He says they are expecting us.

I barely keep in my groan. I was hoping to have some privacy with my new husband before we began visiting people, but I can't say that now.

"I guess we should go, then," I mutter duly.

Lord Sesshomaru looks at me in concern, so I give him a smile. He still looks concerned, but pulls me into his arms before taking to the sky.

I do notice that his hand is in a different place than before. He's gripping me at the top of my stomach, just underneath my breasts, and for several long, breathless moments I wonder if he'll venture higher.

My face flames just thinking about it, but unfortunately, he doesn't.  Will he ever? He's said the physical aspect of a relationship never appealed to him before me. Maybe he won't wish to do more than kiss? No, he's already said he wishes to touch and embrace. Maybe... I really don't know what to think, but that doesn't stop my brain from spinning with possibilities that make me flushed and breathless, nervous and excited... and maybe just a bit embarrassed from my lack of experience. At least we're both starting at the same level. That has to count for something, right?

I glance at him every now and then, trying to gauge his emotions. Is he as nervous as I am? Is there a flutter in his stomach? Warmth in his chest? Tingling in places...?

I again look away from him, feeling heat creep up my neck.

Probably about the fifth time of this, he leans down and murmurs next to my ear, "Are you feeling well, Rin?"

"I'm just fine, my lord."

I expect him to pull away, but he doesn't. I feel him exhale an amused huff against my ear, my neck, and then he whispers, "I think it's time you drop the title and call me Sesshomaru."

The fluttering increases.

We arrive at the village far faster than I'd believed possible. I look back to see A-Un nearly running through the air to keep up and Jaken hanging on, his legs flying behind him.

"In a hurry, my lor—my Sesshomaru?" I tease, daring to give him a quick kiss on his chin.

His eyes flare, "Perhaps."

We stare into each other's eyes for a long moment before cheering makes us realize we're no longer alone.

Lord Sesshomaru clears his throat, turning his attention to the people just below us and slowly descending.

I keep my eyes on him until we land. I look at the group just in time for Kagome to run forward and pull me into a hug, "Congratulations! Now we're sisters!"

"Ah, Kagome!" Inuyasha groans. "Don't be sayin' stuff like that. Like I'd ever want to be tied to that arrogant—"

"Sit boy."

"Arg! Kagome!"

Kagome gives me her scary, too-happy-because-she's-actually-angry smile. I give a weak one back and say, "Yeah, sisters."

Lord Sesshomaru barely glances at Inuyasha. Instead, he turns to Kagome, "I'm glad Rin has you as a sister."

Everyone is quiet for a long, long moment. Then Kagome laughs, "Wow, you've worked some kind of magic, Rin."

I shake my head, "Lord Sesshomaru is very wise." I see him preen and can't help wink at Kagome. She hides her smile.

"Heh, wise my a—" Inuyasha starts, climbing to his feet.
