IV: Better Together

Mina's POV

I put a warm towel on Y/n's forehead for her fever to go down, she's sleeping right now. If you think of that, I always remember that Y/n was absent a lot and she would always joke around that she has a weak body. Now, I believe her because she just got sick from the rain. I didn't believe it before because why would I when she doesn't take anything seriously?

My phone buzzes, father is calling me so I went outside and answered it

"The banquet's near, how was your plan with Y/n?"

"We already planned everything five days ago, father. Are you going to attend the banquet?" I asked

"I will and some royals too. By the way, have you finally gotten close to her?"

Mr Lee's excuse that we were helding the banquet was because we are royals currently going to the university when in fact we aren't the only royals going to this university like Tzuyu. She's a princess too so why is she not included? More like father and Y/n's father planned everything from the start

"Y/n is stubborn, it won't be easy.." I said

"You're smart enough to think like her, Mina. The two of you become valedictorian on your high school graduation and you've known her all your life. You basically know her whole personality, all you could do is to ride along and help her be a good princess"

"Yes, father"

Time skip …

I finally got to contact one of Y/n's friends, Nayeon went to our dorm

"Hey bitch, I heard you're sick again" Nayeon laughs

"Go away, I'm mad at you" Y/n said like a kid

"What did I do now, your highness?" Nayeon sarcastically asked, Y/n looks at me

I know it's about how we two went to follow Nayeon and Mr Lee but it's not my business. Why would I meddle? Just like our conversation that day, if we see someone being unfaithful.. we should just watch the show and do nothing even if it's someone close to us

"Don't cheat on Jeongyeon, she's a great girl. Stop your affair with Mr Lee"

"OMG, you saw us?!"

"Yeah, me and Mina actually"

"But how?" Nayeon looks at me

"It doesn't matter, what you're doing is wrong" Y/n said

"But I'm not cheating on her, I was just seeking an advice from him" Nayeon said, Y/n rolled her eyes

"Yeah, right"

Banquet day …

The anticipated banquet held by the two of us will be later at noon. I went to a flower shop to buy some flowers for decoration. I looked through the displayed flowers and I happened to see a carnation flower.. Y/n's favorite

"I'll take this one, please" I said to the florist and she went to prepare it

"Your highness, the king just landed here ten minutes ago. He's staying at Korea's palace" Key said

"Are you nervous, your highness?" He asked

"Why would I be?"

I'm actually nervous, especially since I'm working with Y/n. I hope everything will turn out to be fine because I hate it when things don't go the way it was planned

"I hadn't expected that you'll actually work with princess Y/n just fine and I'm happy that you got to overcome not being uncomfortable around her"

"I'm still uncomfortable around her" I said
