Everyone stuck as close as they could to Drakiel, lest they may accidentally activate a trap within the mines, something Bila would probably hope for. Though, as some of the caverns narrowed into tighter pathways, Sol's group may have gotten carried away with sticking too close to Drakiel. "Ow! That's my foot. Watch where you're walking." Drakiel said to William. "Sorry."
Getting to understand Drakiel was like a chore to Sol. The guy was at least 29 years old and wore some small rounded glasses. His maroon colored vest was covered in dirt and smelled like something died, which would have been accurate given how long he was down here for. "I bet you're excited to see the light, huh Drakiel." Sol said to him for some small talk as all four of them wandered around the caverns, looking for any dynamite for William's plan. "I wouldn't count ourselves that lucky yet kid." Drakiel looked at William who had to keep lowering his head every time the ceiling of the cavern got too low for him. "Are you sure you're ok with handling explosives?"
"I handle explosive materials all the time. You could say that I'm sort of like a chemist in that way." It took them all some time, but they eventually came to a corridor with a couple of wooden crates. "Right here. Me and William will get these things open, you two just watch." Drakiel told Sol and Jordan. "We can't help?" Sol asked. "These are explosives. I don't want you two touching them without any experience." "I can make fireworks though." Jordan wanted to correct him. "I don't care. The answer is still no." Drakiel said to him again. "Just hold the torch light for us but don't get too close." That was the only order Drakiel gave to Sol.
William struggled a bit to get the lid off of one of the crates. "Come on, you're an orc aren't ya? Put your back into it!" Drakiel said before trying his best to help get the lid off the crate he was trying to open. "I'm sorry sir." William tried his best and gritted his teeth. "No apologies- hurk. let's just get this open!" William and Drakiel tried with all of their might to get the crate open while all Jordan could do was watch on and wait for them to be done.
Tossing the crate's lid aside and peering inside almost disappointed them. Only four sticks of dynamite could be seen. Sol handed the torch he held over to Jordan so that he could take a peak as well. "That's not a whole lot." He complained. "We only need one stick to distract the mole-spiders. We'll take the other three anyway just in case." Drakiel handed William the dynamite with utmost care. Afterward, he searched the area of the cavern they were in for something to light them up with. "Ain't no way we're using a dangerous flame that big to light these things. Gotta be precise." Drakiel scoffed at the idea of using the torch they had and instead, found some matches that could do the job for them.
They continued to follow Ferocious Fenrir's howls and in doing so, ran into even more webs. "Those howls are getting louder. If your weapon can transform into this giant creature like my sword can, how is it that it can fit underground?" Sol asked Drakiel. "Only one way. Ferocious Fenrir is most definitely in the largest portion of the caverns. We call it the Citrine Monster. It's an area within the caverns that's at least the size of two average cities. It's filled with countless and natural citrine crystals." As soon as Drakiel mentioned, Sol could see a few small and yellow crystals laid about the path they walked.
"I haven't heard my sword like I could with your hammer. It makes me worried if my weapon is even down here." Sol kept talking to pass the time but Drakiel immediately looked back at him to cover his own mouth with one finger, essentially telling him to stay quiet. It was obvious enough that they were getting close. They had finally arrived at the place that was just mentioned by Drakiel. The entire place was practically filled with countless torch lights and had dozens among dozens of countless citrine crystals like Drakiel had mentioned. The unfortunate part was that the place was also filled with dozens among dozens of endless mole-spiders as well.
