Sol's group could have done one of two things. One, follow Drakiel to warn the king and queen about the deception of this war or two, immediately follow Sköll to find Yvonne and Cinder. They went with the second option. Sol insisted upon it even when both Drakiel and Jordan were unsure. They followed the blood wolf's nose through the taiga, trying their best to avoid busy roads and gain unwanted attention. Although they felt better traversing their way when they had Drakiel on their side, it was the star demons Amaterasu and Bila that they were more worried about.
"Can you be so sure that these friends of yours are still alive? They certainly weren't with the wolf that you left them with." Drakiel questioned Sol. "They have to be. I've told you before, I don't want to give up on or end up leaving anyone else behind again. I'll see with my own two eyes if they're ok." Every few seconds or so Sköll would look back at every other person behind him to make sure they were keeping up, knowing fully well he could just take off sprinting in a heartbeat.
"We're right behind you buddy! Let's keep going!" Sol said to him. Jordan fiddled with one of his arrows and nervously looked up at the tall pine trees as they passed by. "Are we sure that Sol's wolf is going in the right direction? Does he even know where we want him to go?" Jordan asked. Drakiel made a small chuckle like what Jordan said was a joke. "Don't underestimate a blood wolf's intelligence, especially to those that choose to live in packs." "Do we count as a pack?" William asked. "Do we look like wolves?" Jordan said sarcastically.
Sköll suddenly veered his way up a steep hill and waited at the top for everyone else to catch up with him. When they reached the top, they could see three figures traversing their way through the same land. Sol rubbed his eyes to make sure what he was seeing was real. Lilac, Daika, and Cinder were just up ahead of them but didn't notice their presence yet. Sköll's nose had just proven to be their saving grace yet again. The blood wolf barked as loud as he could to gain the girl's attention which had only made Lilac jump in a startle. Everyone else that was already with Sköll couldn't help but react the same way.
"Daika!" Sol called out his mentor's name. Lilac, Daika, and Cinder turned to face the direction of Sköll's bark and Sol's call. Upon running up to one another, Sol looked to Lilac and Cinder. "You guys actually managed to fi-" Sol was immediately socked in the face by one of Lilac's fists. "What the fuck!?" Sol held the left side of his face with his hand. "Sorry, my hand slipped. Maybe you should think twice about suddenly leaving your family behind and having them become worried sick about you." Lilac said to him. "Are you alright blondie?" Daika asked.
Normally Sol didn't like being called blondie by Daika and the dwarf knew fully well but in an ironic sense, he missed it. "Just peachy. Glad you're here." Sol smiled. "Sorry to make you worry kiddo." Daika returned a smile back. Upon accessing their group, Jordan noticed Yvonne wasn't with them and Cinder's new body was especially noticeable. "I guess this is Yvonne's handiwork. Where is she?" Jordan asked Cinder. "She's currently caught up in something else at the moment but she should be just fine otherwise."
"Well that's a relief. See Drakiel? Everything is going to be-" Lilac proceeded to kick Jordan in his stomach, making him stumble to the ground. "What now?!" Jordan said to her. "What do you mean, what now?! You know what you did to Crystal. If I were you, I wouldn't expect to be in a relationship with her any more for too much longer." Jordan got up to try and face Lilac. "She just needs to understand what was at stake here. If we can just talk things out-" "Talk things up with Crystal, not me. Right now we have work to do." Lilac was as brutal and honest as possible.
William, seeing Sol and Jordan getting walloped by Lilac, took a few steps back in anticipation that he would be next. Lilac looked straight at him and started walking towards the orc. "Lilac, I'm sorry. Please don't-" What William was expecting to be another punch or kick ended up becoming a hug. "I'm glad you're alright Will. Don't you ever just suddenly run off again." After Lilac's hug, she turned to Drakiel as if what she did wasn't that unusual. "Jordan said your name was Drakiel, right?" The dwarf nodded in response but William was left speechless and confused as the orc couldn't help but blush.
