I wonder if your thinking
Of the girl that caught your gaze
Back in that place so dull and grim
Awash with summer hazeI wonder if you visit her
In places known as dreams
Or smile as you think of her
And her eyes that shone and gleamedI wonder if you picture
The sunshine in her eyes
As it was once long ago
For memories don't tell liesAnd I wonder if you think of her
The girl that stole your heart
If you remember all her great ideas
And all her works of artAnd I wonder if you think of her
The ray of sun that left her mark
For the world snuffs out it's sunshine
And it plunges back to dark
