Beth's husband, Santino, slept peacefully on his stomach, his head under the pillow. But she stirred around, trying to stay asleep for as long as possible. But that was quickly halted, when her 'gym time' alarm went off. It's 4am.
With a big yawn, she slapped around her beside table for her phone, finding it seconds later and pressing on her screen repeatedly until her phone turned off the alarm. She put her hands on her face, covering it and letting out a loud, annoying groan.
She leaned over and kissed Santino's shoulder blade and flicked the blanket off of her. She walked over to her closet and opened her gym clothes drawer, getting a pair of leggings and a black singlet, quickly getting dressed.
She grabbed her phone and AirPods and left her room, walking down the hall, yawning and putting them in. Nellie, her daughter's room is right next to the home gym, so she opened it quickly but quietly, checking in on her.
Just like her father, she has soft honey bee blonde hair and blue eyes. She looks so much like her father, it's uncanny. Nellie laid in her bed sound asleep, her leg hanging over the side of the bed, her teddy beside her and snoring softly. A gentle smile fell across my lips and she quietly closed the door, going to the room just across the other side of the hall.
She pressed play on my gym playlist, Good As Hell playing through my ears as I walked over to the treadmill, planning in doing a warm up run. Santino will be up soon, he needs to be anyway. He leaves at the apartment at 5:30.
She looked down at her stomach, a frown etching into her face as she pinched her skin. There isn't a lot to grab onto, and she's only a small girl but all her life it was drummed into her head that she needs to loose the weight on her stomach. She even feels so bad every time she eats a piece of food.
She started to run in the treadmill, looking at the city in front of her as music blasted through her ears. The apartment she lives in is a ten story apartment and she lives on the top floor. Because of this, she is treated to a lovely city view and wakes up to the sunset every morning, if the curtains aren't closed of course.
Unbeknownst to Beth, Santino walked into the room in nothing but a pair of shorts, smiling as he saw he wife. He knows she can't hear him, so he instead just walked up behind her and put his legs on each side of the treadmill, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her off. She let out a surprised squeal and he picked her up, taking her away from the treadmill.
He took one AirPod out of her ear and started to kiss down her neck, stopping at her collarbone and started to leaving hickey's all over. Beth put her head back and closed her eyes, her mouth parted slightly.
"Now, amore mio. How many times do I have to tell you, you are absolutely perfect?. ..."., he placed a gentle kiss in her neck., "...Now, come downstairs, I poured us some cereal".
"Chips Ahoy! ?"., she questioned, smiling.
"Is the sky blue?", he said jokingly.
"Eh, well sometimes it is. ..."., she smiled, amused., "...It can be pink, orange, yellow, purple—".
"Ok, smartass. ..."., he kissed her head, smiling., "...Come on, let's go downstairs".
"I guess we better, Caleb will be here soon".
Caleb is on the 8th floor of the building. He got a place here to protect his sister. Even though their parents are dead, he still wants to be around for her. He offered to take Nellie to school everyday since he's son goes to the same school and she hangs around until one of them get back from work.
