Beth arrived home to a note that was slid under her door. She quickly picked it up and stared at it.

Nellie is sleeping over tonight.
She heard we were having tacos.

Beth laughed softly and put the note in the bin, getting her phone out of her bag and seeing a text from her Santino.

Staying at Marianne's. See you
in tomorrow night, amore mio.

Her phone lit up with Reid's name and she quickly remembered what he saw today. She reluctantly answered it and put it to her ear.

"Uh..Reid"., she smiled.

"Beth, I thought you were married?"., he spoke confused.

"Wow, not even a hello?..."., I sighed out., "...Yes, I am married. It's an open marriage".

"An open marriage?..."., he spoke confused., "...Why would you get married if you're just going to have intercourse with other people?".

"Reid..."., she sighed., "...Because we love each other. Even though we both still have feelings for one another, we couldn't deny our sexual attraction to other people".

"Were are you to always like this?"., he asked.

"Uh, No, not always. The first time he slept with someone else, he told me about it and how he had feelings like that for different women. I couldn't get mad at him because I have the same feelings for other men, so I suggested an open marriage".

"Statistically, open marriages do not last very long"., he stated and she rolled her eyes.

"Reid, I've been married to him since I was 22. I think we're doing okay".

"But do...the others...know?"., he cleared his throat.

"Reid, are you judging me?"., she smiled.

"No! No, I'm not!..."., he spoke quickly., "...I wasn't judging—".

"Calm down, I'm joking. ..."., she smiled., "...And yes they do know. Anyway, I've got to go, I'll talk to you tomorrow".

Reid hung up and she got out her card to unlock the door and started to go down to Caleb's apartment to see her daughter. She got down to the 8th floor and rushed over to the door, quickly knocking. The door opened and Beth was met with her nephew, beaming up at her.

"Auntie!..."., he exclaimed, hugging her., "...Guess what?! We're having tacos for dinner!".

"That sounds so good!"., she exclaimed, looking around for her daughter.

"Mommy!"., Nellie exclaimed.

Bath turned to the hall and saw her daughter running up to her at full speed, with a picture in her hand. She jumped in her mother's arms, wrapping her arms around her neck.

"Hi, sweetie!..."., Beth beamed., "...How was your day?".

"Very good!..."., Nellie pulled away from the hug., "...Look! I made this for you and Dad!".

Beth took the picture off of her and smiled. It was a picture of her, Nellie and Santino.

"It's so pretty, I'll make sure to put it on the fridge".
