SOMEONE

STANDING at the highest spot of the tower, I am looking down at the magicless magicians. Because of the anti-magic casted inside the barrier, everyone, students and invaders alike cannot use magic.

At a distance, I can see a female student saved by Chrysler. That's Ilana Morret, the one who bought Glaucous' ring. And from what I see, she knows it special feature. also from the direction they came from earlier after the first attack, their group most likely came from the tomb.

Hmm. Weird.

Ilana Morret wasn't this much active in the original.

"My lord," the man motioned on the newly arrived black robbed man.

The preparations are done. It's time for the final attack.

"Goodluck, mages." I then turned my back.

The wind suddenly blew making my hood fall causing my long black hair to show.

I FELT someone was looking at me but had no time to look around. Everyone is bombarding me with questions and some are scolding me.

"Alright, stop everyone. I'm okay and I'm sorry."

At last, that made them stop. I then realize ... "What happened to Radephon?"

Krion, who is infront of me aswered. "He's currently engaged in a battle." Krion point at the area where Radephon was supposed to.

Though far, we can still see Radephon with a sword, fighting a red robed man. He was obviously winning but why do I feel uneasy?

Then I saw it.

At the top (outside) of the barrier created by the invaders, was a huge magic circle. It was a projectile type of magic circle.

I gripped at Krion's sleeves and pointed at the magic circle. His eyes widened upon realizing what was it and hurriedly shouted.

"Everyone, take cover!"

After his warning, the barrier and anti-magic spells was abruptly cancelled. Seconds after, the magic circle above was activated.

Multiple ice lances was launched at us. Mages and invaders are both subjected to the attack.

How evil. They didn't even spare their members.

I took cover on a large debri near me. Thanks to that, I was safe but seeing the others die or being injured by the attack, I cannot do anything but grit my teeth.

What can I do? I can barely keep myself safe. How can I save others? I'm useless.

Minutes had passed and the attack stopped. The invaders also retreated but the casualties on both side was numerous. Large percent of the casualties was caused by the last attack.

The reinforcements from the academy and the association also came afterwards to assess the situation and help. Students who has mild to moderate injuries was healed on the scene and those gravely injured was brought to the hospitals.

Everything was still a mess but I cannot process anything anymore.

I was sitting on a rock in daze, my injury had long been treated.

'How can this happen? No. What happened? The last wave of attack wasn't mentioned in the original.'

I'm really confused.

But more than that,

'I know what will happen but I wasn't able to do anything.'

Right, if from the start I told someone about the invasion, none of this would've happen.
