Red son Pov:
I had just finished my therapy session with Sandy and was walking back to the Noodle Shop. we had done breathing exercises, and yoga, And spent time taking care of the cats. I will admit it was nice to feed and pet the cats.
As I entered I saw Noodle Boy was sitting at the counter talking to the dragon girl Diamond was on her phone at one of the boots I didn't see the book nerd anywhere but the pig man was cooking on the other side of the counter so I assumed either Noodle Boy was on break or he had the day off
Red son: Hello everyone.
Mk&Mei: Sup Red!
Diamond: Oh, Dad! I need to ask you something
Red son: hello to you to Diamond, what is it you want to ask me?
Diamond: So me and my friends are having a sleepover at Oliver's house and I asked MK if I could go tonight and he said "Yes, but since your Dad is now living with us you have to get his okay" So can I go to the sleepover tonight?
Red son: ...............no.
Diamond: WHAT!?
Mk: Red, come on just let her go.
Red son: It's all boys! Doesn't seem inappropriate!?
Diamond: But Qiun's not a boy!
Red son: in terms of their gender yes that may be true, but there are those boys Oliver and Owen.
Diamond: but Dad, we've had sleepovers before!
She and I went back and forth upon reasoning why and why not she should go but eventually, I decided to let her go anyway, although I don't think it's appropriate for her to go to a sleepover with all the other hosts being the opposite gender, but I know I can't stop her Besides if she's had sleepovers with them before I guess I can let this slide.
Red son: you know what? fine, you can go.
Diamond: Realy!?
Red son: Yes really
she hugged me happily and then thanked me. She then ran upstairs to go get her things. so I guess tonight I'm left alone with Noodle Boy again. but then the dragon girl perked up and proposed something of a hangout for the three of us
Mei: So since Diamond's is out tonight with her friends you guys want to head out to the anti-gravity arcade dance maybe play a few games and get some drinks?
Mk: Oh yeah, that sounds awesome I haven't been to the anti-gravity arcade in a while, Are you coming Red?
Red son: Me!?
Mk: Yeah do you want to come hang out with us tonight? it'll be fun and besides what else you going to do is stay inside and watch TV all night?
I thought about it for a moment sure going out in public around all those peasants around loud music and agonizingly Bright Lights sounds like a nightmare, but I have nothing better to do with my spare time sadly so I guess saying no is off the table, or maybe I might actually have fun. I hate to admit it but the dragon girl in The Noodle Boy are good a source of entertainment when it comes to their antics
Red son: fine ill go.
Mk&Mei: HELL YEAH!
They pump their fists up happily as I sat down next to them so we could discuss our plans and what we were going to do. after I heard more about this anti-gravity arcade I started to get more and more interested in it. sure there was going to be loud music and bright lights that I wouldn't really enjoy and people shoving each other while they danced but at night they serve alcohol to the adults and I haven't had a good drink in a few years.
As we were all walking there The Noodle Boy decided to strike a conversation with me as the dragon girl was in front of us
Mk: so Red are you excited?
Red son: bearly.
Mk: aww come on, not even a little excited?
Red son: im not really a fan of loud, and crouded places.
Mk: Oh do you have like sensory issues or something?
Red son: ..... what?
Mk: You know sensory issues, Sometimes people have a hard time dealing with really loud noises or others need loud noise to cooperate correctly.
Red son: Ah! well i guess i just dont like loud music.
Mk: i get it, some times people have diffrint comfort levels. like, i like loud music because i think its better that way.
Red son: so you've found another reason we're comple Opposites.
Mk: heh... i guess.
M-Noodle boy was silent for the rest of our walk, for some reason he looked upset very troubled even. I wondered does he not like that we're so different it confuses me, it also... hurts seeing him this way? I don't know what I feel in the moment but it is some form of empathy, and yet I don't know why.
Mei: HAY BOYS! we'er here!
The dragon girl lifted her arms up to show us the big entrance of the arcade with the words "antique gravity arcade" on a sigh Above four purple glass doors
When we all got there I opened the doors to see as I expected just bright neon lights the smell of fast food and loud music immediately shoved into my face, I already wanted to leave but the Noodle Boy grabbed me by the arm and dragged me and excitedly with the dragon girl following behind. once they stop dragging me they pulled me to this arcade game
Mk: This is my favorite arcade game Red son! Dance Dance Reviotion!
Him and the dragon girl explained how the game works apparently you're supposed to dance to the music and have your feet hit the arrows on the floor that mached the ones presented on the screen.
Mk: so, witch one of you dares to fight me!?
After he said that the dragon girl looked at me with a smug expression I didn't understand what the expression was for but then she immediately pushed me forward
Mei: I heard Red Son say he could definitely beat you in a dance competition Mk.
Mk: Oh, its on Red!
Red son: i-I didn't say that!
Mk: oh are scard your gonna lose?
After he said that my pride immediately went to my head and I was going to prove I wasn't scared to lose against someone, let alone Noodle Boy. he may have beaten me in a physical fight but I will beat him in a dance fight!
