The Comeback 2

Reunite.

When they walked through the portal, their vision went white, and as their eyes adjusted to the light, they realized they were on a small hill.  The sky was a clear blue, and surrounding them was tall emerald green grass, going up to about both of their waists. It was so peaceful, and trees could be seen in the distance and behind them. They had landed on a path that lead from the hill and down into the distance. It was...so beautiful, almost like a paradise.

"Wow..." Red said under her breath, taking in every bit of her surroundings.

Orange was doing the same thing, and for a bit, they just stood there in silence, taking it all in.

"I'm guessing we have to follow the path?" Orange said.

"Yeah I think so...let's go." Red said, smiling at Orange and starting to walk down the path with him. After a while, they went up a hill again, and they saw that the sun had just started setting.

It was only then that they realized how high up they were. They were on a steep cliff, and as they got to the top, they found that it was covered in snow. They were that high up. In the distance, they could see two massive cliffs towering over them, facing each other.

Red knelt down and felt the snow. The cooling temperature of it refreshing against her hands. She hadn't seen snow in a while. Red looked back at Orange, who looked petrified.

"Are you ok? We too high for you?" She joked.

"No it's just...I've never seen snow before."

Red looked at him in shock.

"W-What?" 

"I've never seen snow before..." He repeated.

"Oh...well next time it snows in our world, you should come over with your friends." She said calmly, smiling and walking on, down the path leading off the mountain. After a couple of hours, they came to a couple of fields, and Red turned to Orange.

"I have that feeling..." She said.

"Hm?" Orange said,  who had not really been listening to what she had been saying.

"I think we need to go through those fields." She explained.

"If you say so." Orange said, walking into the set of fields. It was so amazing, the tall wheat in the fields was taller than both of them, but the red hot sun and the pink sky made the wheat a gold-ish brown. They walked through the first field and after a while, the wheat reduced to just above their waists. They walked through a few more fields with no luck or sign of the others, but finally, they came to once field, and Red squinted as she saw something in the distance. 

"Orange...do you see that?" She said, nudging Orange.

He looked where Red was looking, and he too saw it.

It was just a blur of different colours where they were, but as they got closer, the colours separated and she made out faintly 6 sticks in the distance.

"You're seeing what I'm seeing right?" Red said, almost breathless as her hopes rose.

"Yeah..."

They walked a bit further, and that's when they knew. It was them. It was really them. Suddenly, the stick that looked like SC, looked Red and Orange's way, and after a couple of seconds, the stick shouted, "RED!!!!!!!!!!!"

Red recognized that voice. It was SC.

"SC!!!!!!" Red screamed, sprinting towards him, tears flying out of eyes as she ran, and Orange followed close behind.

SC started running to the duo as well, the 5 sticks behind him calling after him in confusion, but soon catching on and running after him.

They got closer and closer, and Red and SC finally met, Red running into SC's arms, immediately starting to cry, SC as well.

"Y-You're alive, you're r-really alive!..." Red sobbed, wrapping her arms around his shoulders.

"I'm so sorry that I left you..." SC said, hugging her tightly.

"I love you so much..." Red said, looking at him with tears in her eyes.

"I love you too Red...more than you could ever know." SC said, gently kissing her on the lips.

Red smiled when they both pulled away after a while, and said, "I have a lot to tell you."

"And I'm ready to listen." SC said, smiling back and lifting her up and spinning her around.

Red let out a small happy squeal when he did so, and when he put her down, she kissed him again, a more passionate and intimate kiss.

Back with Orange, he looked at all his teammates and broke down in tears, all of them huddling around him and hugging him tightly.

"Orange, it's ok!" Lime said, rubbing his back in comfort.

Orange smiled and hugged each of his teammates individually. Once they had all in a way, caught up, SC and Red walked up to the group, and Red said, "Let's get out of here."
