Worse.

As the weeks passed, Red got progressively worse. Not only was she now coughing up blood, she also had dark rims under her eyes and a sharp pain all throughout her body. One day, she woke up to find burns on her arms and legs.

"Shit!" She said quietly as she looked in the mirror.

Red put on a hoodie and some tracky bottoms to cover the burns. She also decided to steal some ointment from Blue's medicine cabinet to hopefully help the burns, although the dark rims under her eyes couldn't be helped.

Everyone was just sitting in the living room waiting for Blue to finish making breakfast.

"Oh hey Red!" Green said as she walked in and sat down in an armchair.

"Hi, how did you guys sleep?" Asked Red.

Everyone said they slept fine, and Yellow put on the TV.

Blue called them for breakfast and they all sat down. Red had started eating more the last few weeks, but today, the burns were hurting as she was feeling really sick. But no-one knew, so when Red couldn't bring herself to eat, Orange called her out on it.

"Red, why haven't you eaten anything?"

"Hm? Oh, I'm just not hungry right now, sorry Blue."

"Red come on stop lying, you really need to-"

"UGH ORANGE WILL YOU JUST SHUT UP?! I SAID I WASN'T HUNGRY!" Red shouted, getting up from the table and walking out of the house.

Orange got up to go after her, but Purple grabbed his arm.

"Don't! Just leave her be and she'll come round, ok?" Purple said.

"You're right...sorry."

Soon after Red got out of the house her head started throbbing, and she leant against a tree for support. After the throbbing had calmed down she went on with her walk, and eventually she came to a small, local village. There was only a small group of sticks in the village, but she went into a café and ordered a coffee. When she went out again, Red decided to walk back to the house. It was stupid of her to just walk out. As Red was walking back, the throbbing sensation came back and overtook her, not stopping. Red let out a stifled cry as the pain turned sharp and almost unbearable.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" She said as she sat up against a fence.

She tried to walk again, but to no avail. Suddenly, she heard footsteps in front of her and she looked up to see Orange.

'Crap...' Red thought. She managed to stand up without making it obvious she was in excruciating pain.

"Hey...you ok?" Orange asked.

"I'm fine." She said shortly.

"Ok...well I just wanted to tell you that I'm really sorry for pestering you about eating...it's probably one of the last things on your mind right now.

"It's ok, I just...need some time alone right now, if that's ok?" Red said.

"Yeah of course. Bye Red." Said Orange, nodding at her and walking back.

When she made sure he was out of sight and earshot, Red groaned as she held her head. What the fuck was happening to her? After a while, she managed to stumble home and through the front door. Luckily no-one came to see her, as she had already collapsed on the floor.

She eventually got up to her room and she laid on the floor, the headache still there.

A few hours passed and Red had gone to get ointment from Blue's cupboard, so she spent some time putting that all on the burns, not that it helped a lot. Suddenly, someone knocked on her door.

"Yeah?" Red said as she heard the knock.

"It's Green, can I come in?"

"Yeah sure!" Red called, wincing as she moved to hide the ointment.

Green came in and she saw Red sitting on the bed and then went and sat down next to her.

"Hey, you ok?" Green asked.

"Yeah, I'm ok, you?" Red answered.

"I'm alright..."

"Good."

They sat there in an awkward silence until Green suddenly asked, "Hey Red, can I...talk to you about something?"

"Yeah sure, what's up?"

"How do you deal with it?" Green asked.

"Deal with what?" Red asked nervously.

"With...losing SC."

"Oh..." Red said quietly, all the memories of SC rushing back to her.

"It's ok, you don't have to answer, it's just-"

"Green. Do you think I deal with SC being gone?" Red asked looking at her

"Yeah?..."

"Green, I don't deal with it, that's the thing..."

"W-What do you mean?" Green said, concerned.

"I don't bear losing SC...I can't bear it..." Red said, a tear rolling down her face.

"I'm so sorry Red..." Green said, hugging her.

"I just want him back Green..." Red sobbed, properly crying now.

"I know, I know..." Green said softly, putting her hand on Red's shoulder.

Gren talked to Red for a while, until Red finally said that she wanted to be alone for a bit, and Green said goodbye and goodnight to her, as it was late and everyone was going to bed.

As she got into bed, Red thought of SC, and for a moment, all the pain just went away. Just for those few seconds, she felt free. All of her worries just...gone. Like that.

A few hours later, when she had fallen asleep, an image came into her mind. It was fuzzy, so she couldn't see the detail of her surroundings, just bright colours, but she did see blue, blue, green and white. That was all she saw before she woke up with a start.

"What the fu-"
