I know I shouldn't like you
I know I'm taking a worn down path to heartbreak
I know there are others who feel the same about you
And I would never be first choice, I never am
I try to be okay with that, I really do
But I don't know if I can be when it comes to you
I know I've felt like this before
And I know this isn't much different
But it still hurts as much as the first
The pain only gets worse every time
But for now I'll sit in silence liking you from a distance
Longing and hoping that maybe someday you could be mine
