This story is going to be an AU where Mike flies out to visit Jane in California, but gets an unexpected surprise.

Hear are some important information in this story :
- This takes place in the original timeline (late 80s) but In summer (June)
- Max Mayfeild is also living near the Byers in California, and is best friends with Will
- All the "kids" are about 16-17
- Jane and Mike met on one of Joyce's work trips in Hawkins (Will was not there. He didn't want to go) and have been dating ever since Jane confessed her love for him a month after the trip
- Jane has talked about Will and Johnothan to Mike before, so he new she had two brothers
- Hopper and Joyce are married and Jane goes by Jane Hopper but Joyce, Will and Johnothan still have their original last name : Byers
