Jane's Room

"I am sorry about Will." Jane said with a sigh as she sat onto her bed, soon followed by Mike.

"It's fine.." Mike mumbled in response. He was lost deeply in thought, thinking about the nickname he was given by Will.

  Pretty boy.

He played it over and over in his head.

Pretty boy. He thought of the chestnut-haired boy's appearance. He was tall, thin but not too thin, and slightly muscular. Mike felt his stomach turn just thinking about him.

Suddenly, he felt hands on his shoulders, shaking him out of his thoughts.

"Mike!" Jane yelled at him, trying to get his attention.

"Ye-yea?" Mike asked, looking up at the brunette.

"You were zoning out." She said, dropping her hands.

"Sorry." Mike mumbled. Awkward silence kept around them before a loud bang was heard from the entrance of the room. Will was standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame.

"Will! I told you to put a shirt on!" Jane yelled.

"Sorry, I guess." Will said with a long sigh.

"What do you want?" She asked, tilting her head.

"Oh yea. Mom told me to tell you that dinner is ready." He said, standing up straight.

"Okay. Tell her we will be out in a minute." Jane replied. Will shrugged before winking to Mike with a smile and leaving.

"STOP FLIRTING WITH MY BOYFRIEND!" Jane yelled.

"It's fine." Mike said with a chuckle. "I don't mind it."

"Let's just get ready for dinner." Jane said, getting up from her bed.

"I'm going to go wash my hands." She said as she walked out of the hallway to the bathroom.

"I'll be out there soon." Mike said under his breath. Soon it was just him and the sound of the clock on the wall.

Mike slowly pulled one hand over his mouth and the other into his hair. Shit. He thought to himself.

I...I can't...like- He thought before he thinking was cut off my Jane's yelling.

"Mike, are you ready yet?!" She yelled from far away.

"Ye-yeah! Sorry, I'm coming!" He yelled from Jane's bedroom. He ran to the bathroom and washed his hands. He rapidly shook the water from them and speed-walked to the kitchen table where everyone sat.

"Sorry I'm late." He said as he took an empty seat beside Jane and Johnothan.

"That's okay, sweetie!" Jane's mom said, kindly, with a smile. "Should we begin?" She asked, looking around for responses.

"Why not." Hopper said with a shrug as he took a peice of chicken from a box.

"Sorry I didn't have enough time to cook." Jouce said with an awkward chuckle. "I got home from work and realized we had a guest so I just went to KFC and grabbed something."

"It's fine, mom." Johnothan said, grabbing a peice of chicken. Jane took a peice and dropped it onto her plate before grabbing the bowl of mashed potatoes and taking a large spoonful. She plopped it onto her plate and put the bowl back.
