3rd person's pov

Jake and Seryeon spent their college days together and even decided to go to university.

Seryeon had a master degree in chemistry while Jake had a master degree in physics and math. They were busy, and almost had no time to go on dates. 

But they were understanding and respected each other's time and responsibilities, allowing the relationship to go smoothly.

The high school sweethearts never let each other down.

They were ecstatic when they both finished university and decided to move in together. They got jobs and saved up a lot of money to spend for their future.

Eventually, Jake proposed to Seryeon on their anniversary and they had a small wedding with their closer loved ones.

Now, they're celebrating their first wedding anniversary.

With their daughter, Sim Haena.

(Sunday)

Seryeon's pov

"Haena! Come here"
I called her.

"No! Haena, come to appa"
Jake tapped the ground.

We were sitting on the floor in the living room and Haena was learning how to crawl. 

Jake and I made a deal with each other. If Haena doesn't crawling to the other person, they must do the dishes.

I tried to lure her in with some hand gestures while Jake used a few toys.

"Yes, yes. Over here"
I wiggled my fingers.

She was very close to me and I was really excited. 

But I celebrated to early.

"Pa"
Haena crawled towards Jake.

She snatched the toy from his hand and sat down.

"Thank you Haena! I love you, I love you~"
Jake showered her with kisses.

I scoffed, crossing my arms.

"You, come here"
Jake looked at me, opening up an arm.

I eyed him as I shifted closer. He put an arm around me and smiled cheekily.

"Best wife out there"
He kissed me on my temple.

I couldn't hide my flushed cheeks.

"Pa"
Haena lightly hit Jake's hand.

We looked down at her.

"D-down"
She motioned for him to come closer to her.

Jake laid down on his belly, laying his chin on his forearm. Haena then took some tiny elastic ties.

She took some of Jake's hair and tied it into a mini 'ponytail'. She did one on each side.

"Pr-pretty"
She placed her tiny hands on Jakes cheeks.

Jake let out his cute giggle, looking at Haena with sparkles in his eyes. A smile appeared on my face too.

"Haena is also pretty"
Jake sat up and placed her on his lap.

He looked so silly with the mini ponytails.

"But, eomma is pretty too. Look"
Jake pointed her hand in my direction.

Jake's pov 

"Wah! Eomma pretty!!"
Haena threw her hands in the air.

"Thank you, cutie"
Seryeon took her from my lap, carrying her in her arms.

"She's too cute, what am I gonna do?"
I tilted my head, looking at Haena.

"Nothing. What you can do, is the dishes"
Seryeon faked a smile.

"Finee"
I got up and went to the kitchen.

I was washing the dishes when I felt something brush against my leg.

"O, Layla"
I looked down at her while washing the plates.

After I moved out, my mom told me to take Layla with me. So I gladly took her with me.

And after all, I have Seryeon that Layla always listens to.

"Thank you, Yunnie"
I felt Seryeon's hands around me.

I hummed in response.

"Hey, look at this"
Seryeon showed me a picture.

It was me smiling wholeholding a huge bag. It was from that time when I performed the violin on stage.

"You still have that?? That was so long ago"
I was quite surprised.

"Mhm. It was a nice memory"
She replied.

I finished the last of the dishes and dried my hands before facing her.

"Hold on, this is ridiculous. I need a photo of you"
She looked up at my hair with the mini hair ties.

"Eyy, don't please"
I put her phone on the counter.

"But you this is the most adorable look yet!"
She pouted.

"You'd rather take a photo than give me a kiss?"
I moved my face closer to Seryeon.

She cracked a smile and planted a kiss on my lips.

"Happy anniversary"
She looked into my eyes.

"You too. Happy anniversary, Yeonnie. I love you so much"
I said.

Then, she took me into her arms.

Her arms are the safest.

And the warmest.

I snug myself into her everytime we hug.

As if it's our last, each time.

Nothing feels better, than coming home to a hug like hers.

I'll never forget her first one though.

My heart clenched because of how gentle she was.

But at the same time, it felt like butterflies were trying to escape from me.

It was a rush of emotions.

And now, I get to to hug her whenever I get the chance to.

I'll put my love into each one.

So I can return back all the love she gave me.
