It's six weeks later and everyone has come over to meet Jurnee. Ms. Tam has finally moved back over to her new townhome. Since she moved down from New York, she hadn't officially moved in because they were renovating and then the baby came. Mrs. Pat is not allowed to see the baby right now. Fatima on the other had been a little sad lately. Part of it was her post-partum and her mom not being around when she needed her most. Ms. Tam had been awesome. When she was staying with them, she took turns with them waking up for the baby in the middle of the night. Once she left, she still went by to help every other day to give them a break, but it was nothing like having her mom.
It was a Saturday morning; Fatima was still sleeping. Zac got up to make breakfast. When he was done, he took it up to his wife.
"Hey baby, rise and shine," he said as he opened the blinds.
"Damn, babe what you do that for? I was still sleeping," said Fatima.
"No, you're not, not anymore. Whenever my mom is here all you do is lay in bed all day and sleep."
"Uh, that's because I'm tired from being up all night with the baby. That's the point of your mom coming, so we can sleep in."
"Baby J is six weeks old and you've been cleared from your six weeks checkup. Now it's time for Daddy to have some wifey time. I got the entire day planned for us so just relax."
Fatima was still a little upset because he woke her up until she saw the food. She had been eating and sleeping outside of caring for the baby. She is still holding on to some of the baby's weight.
"I made you breakfast in bed. After you finish that Andi and Lori will pick you up. Lori agreed to do your hair and then take you shopping for our date night later this evening. I don't want to hear no complaining, just do it."
She eats her breakfast and then gets ready to go with the girls. Before getting ready she pumps several bottles for Baby J. She puts on a jogging suit and then heads out. She and the girls had a blast laughing and joking. This was just what she needed. They also encouraged her to wear something very sexy for Zac.
"This is cute and all but what happens when my milk starts gushing out?" They all laughed.
Zac told them to have her home by 4:00 pm. "Where are your mom and Jurnee?" Fatima asked. "And why does it smell so good in here?
"Mom came to pick her up an hour ago. She would keep her until 10:00," Zac said.
"What if she doesn't have enough milk?"
"I got it all handled woman. We have a tight village."
Fatima looked at him nervously.
"Do you trust me, T?"
"Of course."
"Okay then. Go put on whatever you just bought and come back downstairs. You have thirty minutes."
"Thirty?" she asked, basically saying that wasn't enough time.
"Okay, 45 minutes."
This is Fatima's first time away from the baby so he knew her staying overnight would be a problem, so he convinced her it would only be for a few hours. While she was getting ready, Zac did all the finishing touches to the dinner and then went to the guest room to get ready. He didn't want to see Fatima until after she came down so he could be surprised.
After she came downstairs, there was a small dinner table nicely dressed up with a tablecloth and candles. Soft jazz music was playing and the aroma of food coming from the kitchen. She called for Zac.
"Hey babe, I'm right here." He handed her a dozen red roses.
"Aww thank you, babe," She kisses him and then he pulls out her chair for her to sit down.
