A few weeks later

The school year had ended for Patrick. Although the school year was a struggle, he made it through. He is now a Junior.

Fred had a bunch of fun things planned for June before he moved. He decided to help Patrick learn how to drive so he could get his license. They went to a few baseball games, Patrick's favorite sport. He spent some time with Fatima and his grandbaby. He also taught Zac how to golf. Last month was the most fun they've had together in a long time.

One week before the move

Ms. Tam made a nice dinner for the entire family.

"Thank you so much Ms. Tam for cooking all this food." Fatima appreciated it.

"No problem. We're all family now."

The two set the table while Zac went to the store to get some drinks.

After a few minutes. He returned and Patrick and Fred had arrived. They had already moved most of Patrick's stuff into the house.

"Hey sweetheart," Fred hugged Fatima.

They all sat at the dinner table eating, laughing and talking.

"Thank you for letting me move here," said Patrick.

"No problem, lil bro," said Zac.

"Patty, please be good, respect your sister and your brother-in-law, especially Ms. Tam. Help out with your niece when needed. Be good in school and call me if you need or want anything. When school is out on breaks, you can come visit." Mr. Fred ordered.

"Um Dad, you forgot someone," Fatima interrupted.

"What are you talking about baby girl?" Fred asked.

"You said help out with your niece. You mean his nieces or nephew." Fatima announced.

Zac heard exactly what she said and knew exactly what she meant. "AWWWWW, shucks!!! I'm going to have my junior." Zac cheesed so hard. He was ecstatic.

"Now wait babe. I didn't say it was a boy. Well actually I haven't gone to the doctor yet to confirm, but a few days ago I took a few home tests and they all were positive. I wanted to wait to tell you while we are all here together."

Zac kissed Fatima.

"Congratulations! Well, I don't want to overwhelm you guys with Patrick. Are you sure it will be okay?" He asked as he thought about all the responsibilities a new baby would bring.

"Dad, stop. We got this. It's three adults in the house to help. Well, Patty is a teen and will practically be driving soon. He will help pull his weight around here as needed. So, we got this." Fatima argued back. "It takes a village, and this here is our village."

A few days went by, and Fatima and Zac had their first doctor's appointment to confirm she was pregnant.

At the doctor's office

The doctor did the pregnancy test.

"Fatima, you are 6 weeks pregnant," the doctor confirmed.

Zac was excited all over again. When they returned home that was all he talked about.

"So, are we going to find out the gender?" Asked Zac.

"What do you think? All you want is your boy." Fatima responded.

"No, I want a healthy baby, but a boy is on the top of my list. Besides we already have a daughter, so what's wrong with wanting a son next? Let's just say I know it's a boy. I did it a little differently this time in the bedroom."
