Six AM my alarm goes off. I roll over to turn my alarm off and pull the covers over my head with a groan. I get up and go to the bathroom to proceed with my morning routine. Brush my hair, Brush my teeth, apply mascara, and put my hair up in a pony tail. I head back out to pick out some clothing. After about 10 minutes of searching, i decided on black leggings, a random shirt i found and my red flannel with my favorite pair of black Vans.

While skipping down the stairs i thought about breakfast.

Poptarts should do. I think to myself and grab of cookies and cream poptarts from the pantry.

On my way out the door i grab set of keys and longboard before skating off to school.

Thankfully school isn't that far away, about twenty minutes if you skate. I don't have a car or my license yet. Yet. There's no specific reason, when people ask me why i just tell them that i'm too lazy and afraid. That usually does the trick since no one cares.

On my way to school for once thoughts consumed my mind.

"Lola, Lola!" I yell across the school parking lot, my blue hair flowing in the breeze.

"Whoa there, K" Lola chuckles, she looked so happy and delicate.

"Guess what, guess what! You'll never believe this!" i laugh and jump up and down.

"NICO ASKED ME OUT!" I say loudly and squeal.

"NO way!" Lola laughs and squeals with me.

"Yes! Finally after two years." i place my hands on her shoulders and smile.

Lola was so different then. She had braces and her hair wasn't as long. Her personality was much different too, she didn't care about boys. She was like me; longing for adventure. That's exactly what we did.

I stop my board on the sidewalk and take a moment. Man eighth grade was a weird time, but i might prefer then over now honestly.

There's a gas station about two blocks ahead of school where I usually buy a Monster in the morning and that's exactly what i had planned on. I stepped inside and the clark already recognized me. She gave me a small nod to welcome me, i returned the favor as i made my way straight across to the fridge full of the various types of Monster's. I grabbed an original, slapped five dollars on the counter and left.

On my way to seventh period, i saw a familiar face. I stopped in my tracks. It was the guy from the other night in Zeke's room. Iris ran into my back pushing me forward onto the mystery man.

Oh fuck.

My impact didn't even make him do anything other than stop and glare down at me. I had really tilt my head up to get a good look at those cold eyes.

Jesus he's tall...

He clears his throat and raises his eyebrows. That's when i realized why. My hands were pressed against my chest, that's how i eased the shove. I could feel my cheeks flush red and i quickly pulled my hands away.

"Sorry..." i mumble and take a step back to Iris. All he does is smirk and walk away.

"God damn he's hot." Iris twists around to see the back of his grey v-neck in the crowded hallway. She turns back to me and her mouth twists into a cheeky grin.

"Am i missing something?" she asks.

"No...but i might be." i say whilst readjusting the straps of my backpack. "Have you seen Nico or Lola today?" i ask curiously.

"Not since fourth, i saw them walking towards the parking lot holding han- i mean hangers." Iris brushes back a strand of hair. She only does that when she's either lying, hiding something, or nervous.

"Oh really?" i ask, shifting my weight to my left leg and crossing my arms over my chest.

"Yes." she responds a little too quickly.

I just blink a few times letting worry and jealousy take me over.

Was Zeke right? Is Nico cheating on me? With my best friend? No.

The last two classes i was completely out of it. I spent the rest of the day over thinking and stimulating so many different scenarios in my mind of Nico and Lola. I refused to believe the idea of Nico cheating. I loved him too much. I don't think I would ever get over him.
