“Who this might be?” Amelia asked with bathed breath. She don't know why it's the same voice that had frightened the fuck out of her minutes ago. But why is she calling her? And how did she got her number? Or she might be getting paranoid and the woman from other side is some other woman.
“You don't need to know.” The woman from the other side answers rudely. Amelia scowls. Before Amelia could retord back the woman from the other side beats her. “Just an advice. Keep a distance from Agastya.” That only deepens Amelia's scowl.
“What do you mean by it? And who are you?” And suddenly Amelia's mind clicks something. “Are you a stalker of Agastya? Damn, you must be. He is an hunk and there can be tons of stalkers. But please I am not going to leave him.” Amelia removes her phone from her ear and before she could end the call she adds, loudly, “And he is mine.” With that she ends the call.
Amelia looks up when the door gets open. She drops her phone away and scouts to the side, giving space to Agastya.
“Come sit here.” She pats the space beside her. “I will put on some movie.”
Without protesting Agastya does as she says and Amelia instantly plays bridgerton series. She pause's the episode and jumps down. She closes the curtains and the room gets dimmed in dark. She comes back to her place and plays the video.
Agastya finishes his food and leans back to the headboard. Instantly Amelia leans her back on his chest. She brings his hand around her chest.
Agastya smiles. “Are you like this to everyone?” He inquired. He had least of his attention on the episode.
“Like what?”
“Clingy.”
Amelia looks up at him. “No, I am not. You are a special case.” And she pecks his jaw and looks ahead, back at the series.
‘Hopefully this special case doesn't end you in ruins.’ He thought. His eyes fluttered lower to her cleavage. Instantly he looked away from it before he could lose his sanity and give in to his urge. Suddenly his phone rings. He looks down at the caller id.
Amelia scowls, sad at the interruption. Agastya moves her to the side and steps outside.
“Whatsapp, Agastya.” The screeching voice of his best friend, Virendra comes from the other side. Agastya had to move his phone away.
“Stop screaming, you idiot.”
“Yeah yeah. By the way, I am so annoyed that you will be back in a few weeks.” Virendra's excited voice didn't match with his sentence.
Agastya rolled his eyes and replied, dryly, “Neither can I.”
“But someone will be happy because of your return.”
“Everyone will be happy except you and me.” Agastya whispered the last part.
“I know about that but someone special will be very happy.” Agastya's heart got heavy, getting an inkling of Virendra's next words. “Your fiancee, idiot. My sister.”
“Veer, you know I don't love her, right?” Agastya pointed out. Since he can remember he has been told that she is his betrothal. And her brother became his best friend.
“I know, bro. You can never love anyone so it's okay if you don't love her. Her love will be enough for you both.” Agastya's heart tightened for unknown reasons. “You know, she is damn excited for your return. She even…”
Agastya interrupts Virendra, “Veer, I have work. Talk to you later.”
“Okay.”
Agastya's hand falls to his side and he huffs. Everytime Virendra talks about how much his sister loves him, he can't stop the heaviness because as much as Agastya wants he can't come to like her, let alone love her. Never had he gotten any attraction from her.
