Alpha Sapphire /Omega Ruby story

Chapter 2

(A/N eeeyyy guys im back im gonna try updating more because school is out and ill have more time to write but i'll still be busy with summer fun/camping. give me some feedback if you like this story!)

The lab was void of people except for one man in a labcoat and was wearing glasses (i assumed to be a scientist).

"Excuse me, are you Prof. Birch?"

The man looked up at me from his work.

"Oh no, I'm not Professor Birch! He went out with Ruby to do some field work on the local Pokemon around here. Go check with his wife she'll know where he is. They live in the house beside the lab."

"Oh. Thank you!"

I headed out and over to the only other house in the neighborhood. I knocked on the door and shortly after a woman in a red dress and apron opened the door and looked at me funny for a moment then a huge smile grew on her face.

"Oh! You must be Rin the new neighbor!"

"Uh, yea. Hi."

"Are you looking for Ruby?"

"Yea."

He's upstairs in his room. He went up to grab some things for Birch's field study."

"O.K. Thanks!"

I headed upstairs to see a boy at a desk that i assumed was Ruby. He was wearing a weird hat.

"Excuse me, Ruby?"

Ruby turned around and looked surprised for a short moment and then gave a small smile.

"Hi. You must be Rin right?"

"Yea, Hi."

"Your the new girl so you should be looking for Prof. Birch."

"Err, yea. i went to his lab but he wasn't there and a guy who was there told me to ask your mom."

"Well he sent you in the right direction. The Prof. is out in route 101 studying some native pokemon. You can and head out to meet him. I'm running late or I would be there with him."

"Alright, thanks. cya 'round."

"Yea you too."

I headed back down stairs and thanked Ruby's mom for letting me come in. As soon as I was out the door I heard a scream coming from Route 101. I ran towards it thinking maybe a lairon had tried attacking the Prof. When i got their what I saw surprised me so much I almost laughed.
