Responsibility || Ruby X GN!Reader

Ruby, your outgoing and positively peppy girlfriend. They way you two met was from the alliance, who was formed by Pencil and Match. Ultimately, in the beginning of BFDI, you had joined around the same time as Ruby did. The two of you had met, and the rest was history. As of now, she was currently crouching down, poking at a small ladybug waddling around in the blades of grass. You couldn't help but chuckle at her endearing curiosity. 

Your thoughts were then interrupted by Ruby asking you a question. "Is Lady a good name for this little lady?" She let the spotted bug climb onto her hand. You nodded eagerly in response. Ruby stood up and lifted her hand so you could have a better look at Lady. 

The bug seemed calm, not skittering around, it simply stood still. "I think Lady likes you." You hummed softly. "Well, now that we have a baby, as her parents, Lady is our responsibility!" You nodded once more. "Now, what do mommies and parental figures do with their babies?.." Ruby asks herself, using her unoccupied hand to tap her lip. "Feed them?" You suggested, your focus locked onto the small ladybug. 

"That's one! Let's go!!" She giggled, intertwining her other hand with yours. The both of you walk over to one of the many yellow trees, and you pluck off a leaf with your other hand. You gently placed the leaf near Lady. The lady bug began to nibble on the rims of the leaf, you supposed Lady was pretty hungry. Ruby smiled, "She's growing up so fast." 

"We gotta show people what a wonderful parent you are!! Lady looks so happy." She claimed, pecking you on the cheek excitedly. You could only flush in response. Conveniently, Pencil and Match were having a conversation nearby. "Hello, fellow alliance members!" She greeted eagerly, holding out her hand and winking at you, signaling for you to speak. You chuckled, "This is Lady!" 

"That is like, the cutest thing ever!!" Match exclaims, smiling in delight. "(O/n) is the best, they are helping me take care of her!" Ruby begins to exclaim, pulling you close and giving you a cheeky grin. 

You couldn't help but flash a flustered lopsided smile, your cheeks flushing brightly as Ruby continued to squeeze you. "Mhm, (O/n) is very sweet, and caring and sweet—" Ruby listed off to Match and Pencil, on and on about how amazing you were. Suddenly, you felt a light tap on your shoulder, causing you to quickly whip the other direction. "Can oi see Loidy?.." Bubble asked sheepishly, rubbing her arms, you assumed it must've taken her a lot of courage to ask. 

"Of course!!" You answered, Ruby extending her hand out so Bubble could see her. "Mind if I take a look?" A raspy voice called out, said voice belonging to Loser. Ruby nodded eagerly, everyone circling the ladybug in amazement. You smiled happily. It seemed like Lady was getting popular. "Who are her parents?" Someone asked from the sea of objects. "Me and my spectacular partner, that I love very, so very much!!" Ruby yelled out gleefully, pointing at you and once again pulling you closely. Words of praise from the fellow objects were shouted, but.

Not a single word of praise meant anything, to you. The only thing that did, was your girlfriend Ruby.
