Note: this was all supposed to be one big chapter, but I can't figure out how I want the next part to go and I want to give ya'll some content after such a long hiatus.

The entire squad's attention was on the screen. Cory was dazed, he didn't recall a mission today. His mind blanked out for a moment, trying to figure out why this changed. Was he really back in his time, was it an alternate timeline. His question was answered quickly after Trianna asked about the small gap between Everest and the new mission. "This is a simple enough mission that being fully recovered isn't required. All you need to do is retrieve a device's memory storage- no weapons, or any form of tool that could be used to damage the structure. You'll be entering SCP-015."

Even though it had been years since his original time in alpha-strike, he still had the habit of zoning out during briefings. It was pointless to listen to hours of rambling for 2 minutes of important information. Which was why it was better to ask in the helicopter, even if he gets yelled at by his squad mates. Generally he could get the gist of it even when zoned out, such as the zombie idea getting stuck in his head. All he got this time was 'murder pipes'. "LT-" Cory started. "We are retrieving a memory card from a remote exploration device that stopped responding to movement controls. It is in SCP-015, a building of pipes that will kill you if you damage them.  Meaning, DON'T damage the pipes in ANY way. DON'T threaten the pipes in ANY way." Trianna quickly covered. "I-I didn't even ask." Cory replies, exasperated. "You didn't need to." Hooper, as cheekily as his serious disposition allowed, replied. Cory decided not to reply with the fact he gleamed 'murder pipes', instead just allowing himself to relax in his seat. The familiar strong straps of his seat beat, the whirring of the helicopter blades, and the presence of his friends. Despite his distaste for the foundation, he felt a sense of fond nostalgia just being in the helicopter. He guesses it's more that he missed his friends, not working for the foundation. "ETA to SCP-015 15 minutes." Lara interrupts his thoughts.
