Enigma was only 4 when everything I. his life just went... downhill, if downhill meant took a swan dive into hell.
He was a child.
There was nothing he could do.
And yet the feelings of vague memories always haunt him, like the impending doom before an anxiety attack. He doesn't remember what happened, no matter how much he reaches out to try and figure out what happened, why these... emotions haunt him in his everyday life, but... nothing. He doesn't know. He can't figure it out. It's frustrating.
Those memories are so hazy he can barely even understand what the feelings meant. But, eventually, all things become known.

Enigma looked up to a figure, a gentle face he couldn't discern looked back at him. Everything was moving oddly, almost stretched and blurred. He couldn't tell what was happening at the moment, but he knew something was wrong.
He heard running. It was the figure holding him... Holding him? Why was he so small? He was... He was a child again?
It was all uncomfortably familiar. this didn't feel like a dream. He stared at the face for a while before slowly, at a snails pace, remembering... This was his father.
This wasn't a dream.
It was a memory.
Enigma felt dread tear at the core of his being. This was before he was Enigma. When he went by a name he didn't remember anymore. When he wasn't a "he".
Before it all happened.
right before.
Enigma felt nauseous as he hesitantly looked behind them, before his father completely stopped. Enigma looked up at him. Engima's dad smiled at him, gently placing him within the safety of a bush.
Enigma made a move to touch his father's face, which his father tearfull leaned into. His mask slipped a bitz and a frown seemed to take over his face.
Enigma now expected that he knew what was gonna happen, as he said something Enigma was only able to remember now.
"I'm so sorry," He looked at him. He smiled one last time "Just know I'll always love you." He stood up, facing guardsmen, and in a split second.
Bang
Enigma closed his eyes tight, covering his ears. He didn't want to see anymore. He wanted it to stop. He felt tears pour down from his eyes, hearing all the noises, the sights, the smells-
it was too much.
However, He soon felt the feeling of fur around him. He opened his eyes, and saw his wolf pack. He felt his emotions stabilize a tad more as he stood up. He just needed time alone.
He gave one last pat of goodbye to his mother, then walked away. He walked in no direction in particular, and ended up sat at a meadow.
He tried his best to block out the memories of his father's death, but nothing seemed to work.
He would never gain back the innocence he just lost.
He sighed and tearfully decided to just go back home, but then he realized.
He was now reliving getting lost from his pack. He remembered this moment exactly, the flower placements, the trees, the smells.
He suspects too much panic flowed through him and he jolted up. He looked around within a severe panic for one of his two other fathers, or even his Pa. He saw no sign of them and ripped off whatever covers were on him to dash out the door.
He anxiously looked around the halls. He knew he'd feel safer with his fathers, he just needed to them. He sped walked to his Dad, Chaos's room. He knocked on the door urgently, and not too soon after a Chaos dressed in a long t-shirt and pajama pants looked down to him.
Chaos blinked in surprise. Within normal circumstances, he probably made a joke, but Enigma could tell he saw the panic in his eyes. Chaos paused for a moment and picked him up with ease.
Enigma buried his head in his dad's shirt.
"Bad dream kiddo?" Chaos gently rubbed the top of his head ona comforting manner.
Enigma nodded.
Chaos sighed. "Alright."
No other words were spoken that night. Enigma stayed with his dad all night, refusing to leave his side.
He didn't want him to get hurt either.
