Family of unfortunate people

Kore was told to show the Scion where his uncle lived. Zachary Vilmir. His dad's brother. He felt somewhat awkward as the Scion followed him in an uninterested way. His hands were behind his back and his eyes were trained on the people and things around them as they slowly became scarcer and scarcer.

Uncle Zach doesn't like people. Not since his dad died, from what he's told Kore. He had no idea how he'd react to the SCION of people coming into a small music shop on the edge of nowhere.  Kore's eyes flicked to the Scion as he started getting close. He looked bored. Kore let out a sigh as he stopped directly in front of Zach's Music shop.

"Here we are, Sir" Kore's tail flicked as he looked up to the Scion's eye. The scion's eyes looked to Kore, then he wordlessly took in every detail of the music shop. "Lead the way." Scion spoke, for the first time since they started walking. Kore shifted his weight to the other leg.

Of course, he thought Of course he wants me to come with him. Now I'll have a front-row seat to my uncle's stupidity. Kore cracked open the door, uneasily looking around the shop to see Zach tuning his electric guitar. Kore flinched as he saw his Grandmother, Bellatrix, right next to him.

He pushed the door open, which caught Zach and Bella's attention. "Oh. Hey, lil bud! Didn't think I'd see you today-" He shut up when he saw the Scion lean down to enter his door. "How tiny must you all make your doorways?"

Bellatrix scoffed and rolled her eyes

Kore flinched.

This is gonna be... something. 

He watched Scion step in, then Zach piped up "Yoooo, Mr Scion man! I've heard a lot about you dude!" Zach responded rather cooly. He set his guitar to the side and stood up. Kore flinched again. That is the most unprofessional way I've heard anyone besides an atrum act around him.

Luckily, the Scion seemed only amused. "That is your mother, correct?" He made a small gesture to Bellatrix. Zach nodded. "Since I was born!" The Scion huffed in amusement. "I would like to speak to both of you. About Derrick Vilmir." The Scion stepped inside finally, and Kore let the door close. He decided to sit on the seat for a drum set while The Scion stepped in front of Bellatrix and Zach.

Zach deflated. "Oh. Him." Bellatrix scowled and looked away, still haven't said a word. The Scion seemed to take note of these reactions and then continued. 

"Yes, your brother and Bellatrix's son." The Scion twitched, glancing at Kore and tilting his head in a 'Is she always like this?' then nodded at Bellatrix. Kore nodded then waved his hand in a 'so-so' manner. The Scion looked back to the two.

"Well. What can I say about him? I guess he was there when our dad died but-" BEllatrix interrupted him "You mean he kilt your father?" Bellatrix scoffed. "There's no proof he did, Mom. At most, he tried to kill Kore. And-" Bellatrix's head whipped to Zach "At most? That is the least of it!" 

The Scion stayed silent, only taking in the information.

Bella looked at him, still looking rather pissed. "Drip ruined My ENTIRE. LIFE. Scion." She spat that last word out. "He RUINED. He took out his father and his brother with him. Did you hear about Deimos' sister, husband, and daughter?" She stared at The Scion in a rather disrespectful way.

The Scion looked interested. "Why, No, I have not. Please Clarify?" 

She continued "They were murdered. On the night of Stella's birth no-less." She twitched. "They were murdered on the exact night that Deimos and Salma's mother died. If you ask me he's the one who caused it." She rolled her eyes. "It's not unlike him to hire a hitman so he doesn't get the blood on his claws."

"But that's all just conspiracy!" Zach said in a desprate tone. Kore knew that this was an ongoing fight between the two. If you ask him, it doesn't matter. He still abused his wife and kids, and almost killed Kore! Provably! 

"There is no proof that Drip has ever attempted murder before Kore," Zach stated, He looked the most upset Kore's seen him. "Even if I believed that, which trust me I can see him doing it, It's impossible to prove!"

"He was there on the night Daniel died, yes, but not even his intent would make sense. They were thick as thieves, they dreamt of being together through everything not apart." Zach's hand balled up in a fist. "He couldn't've. He was so distraught after he died, mom. You saw him. That was no fake." Zach looked... almost hurt.

Bellatrix softly sighed. all her stubbornness subsided at the sight of her son's distress. 

"Look. If you want the facts, Sir, then all I can say is that he abused his wife and kids and he tore our family from the seams. I am only happy that My dad and Nebula haven't seen the destruction he caused. He has hurt many people in the name of keeping the family name pure." Bellatrix stood up, putting her hand on Zach's shoulder, who was downright crying now.

"He has done more wrong than he has ever done right. And every Vilmir or Maracara-" She smiled at Kore "-Can agree with me on that."

The Scion nodded

Kore finally spoke up. "Most of our main grievances are only of the hurt he caused all of us. He abused me, he abused my mom, and he almost killed me." Kore twitched. "He hurt my Grandma, My Uncle, My mom, My siblings, and me." Kore looked up at The Scion. "That is the only truth I have." 

The Scion slowly looks at Kore. He just seems... Pitying? "I see." He sighed. "This has helped. Thank all three of you. I will be going back to my home now. Goodnight." The Scion stepped out, giving a nod to Kore on the way out which he returned.

Kore stood up immediately and walked to his uncle. "Sorry, Uncle Zach. He asked me to take him to you so he could talk about him." Zach sniffled and looked at him with a dull smile. 

"It's alright. I'm not mad." He looked back down, his smile turning into a frown. "Why did he need to know all of this?" Bellatrix snipped at Kore. 

"He's bringing Derrick to Trial soon enough." He saw Zach twitch and Bellatrix sighed. "Good on him. Now go, and turn the sign to closed. I need to talk to Zachary." Kore nodded

"Bye, love you" Kore started to walk out

"Love you too, kid," Zach replied. "Yes, Love you," Bellatrix replied quickly.

Kore flipped the sign and walked out, heading back home to Chaos. 

What an eventful evening.
