It has been a year since OWR was posted. *clapping emojis* can you guys believe it? We've come all the way here and I am so happy. It's OWR's birthday. I feel like a proud mother of a successful story. My baby is doing well, and I want to thank you all for helping her get this far. All your reads, your comments, your votes, and your love for this story and all the craziness that happened in it, brought me to this. To posting more, to writing more, to believing in myself more, and to create more.
I am so thankful for you guys. For all of this. I have plans for OWL and everything that going to lead to the third book. I've got more loving moments, crazy moments, scary moments, and weird moments. OWR is my baby. I love it so much. I'll forever be grateful for creating it and having so many people enjoy it.
Now, on to the story. Let's tip our glasses to a celebration with an update and a cute little OWR first chapter meeting in Aiden's POV. *Sips Mocasto*
Chapter 33: Our Beginning
Aiden
"Maybe you guys should lock your doors." I said. I walked into Beth and Adam's apartment. "Yeah Aiden's right, you could have been robbed." I smile when Nia comes following in behind me. Beth comes out of the kitchen and sees Nia.
"Oh my—"There they go." Adam jokes. Nia and Beth run to each other to hug. I look at Adam and open my arms to him. "How about it man?" He and I run to each other and hug just like them. We laugh, but Nia and Beth don't. "Don't make fun of us." Nia frowns. "Oh don't be like that babe, we love you guys." Adam goes to Beth and picks her up. "Yes I do. Now let's go before we're late. I didn't pay that photographer for nothing."
I pull Nia to me when Beth and Adam go get ready. "I'm so happy you're here right now." I was beyond glad she was here. I've said that since she's got here. Seeing her every morning made my day even before the sun rose. "I know. Now come on, we've got a little girl to get from daycare." I kiss her on the cheek and usher her outside. "Hold on, I'm going to talk to Adam for a second." Nia leaves the house and I go to their room.
"Please tell me you'll watch Hope so Nia and I can go house hunting."
Beth turns to look at me. "Aww, you guys are going house hunting. That is so good."
I smirk at her. "I'm thinking about it, but I don't want to do anything until I'm sure she wants to as well," They nod. "We're just looking. So can you?" Beth looks at Adam. "Momma Lone invited us to some family thing after the pictures. We can't watch her, I'm sorry."
I sigh. "That's fine. It's fine." Nia honks the car, signaling me it's my time to leave.
"She's feisty and impatient. I missed her ass." I joked.
Beth smiles, "So did I."
"Don't honk the horn at me woman." I get in the car and back out.
"Do you wanna get something to drink? I'm feeling a smoothie vibe." I look at Nia and she laughs. "We have to go get Hope." I nod, "Yes, honey that is correct, but there is a smoothie place around Leila's house." Nia shrugs. I take a left instead of a right towards the smoothie place. "We can get her a small one too if you're worried." She shakes her head and orders our drinks.
