Chapter 39: Spring showers, bring May weddings

It's my birthday! Happy 15th Birthday to me:)  i'm young af. lol

On another note, this is the last chapter before Beth and Adam get married! :D I'm so happy and glad that i'v accomplished so much with this story and OWR, and the upcoming story Our Weird Forever. It's going to be great :) 

Alright enjoy this, it is a very exciting chapters. Lots of love, so listen to any love song you have. While writing this, I played Somo's versions of Thinking Out Loud and Love Me Like You Do. If i could I would post all three of those, but Adore you is very significant for the last scene . So please listen to it, because it makes the moment all so beautiful.

Chapter 39: Spring showers, bring May weddings

The day before the wedding

I watch Hope run around the playground and look at the time. She climbs up the little stairs and makes her way to the tic-tac-toe with apples and bananas. She turns them so they could all  be apples, and then laughs. "What are these, Hope?"

She knows a lot for a sixteen month old and I love how much she likes to learn and enjoys reading. Nia reads to her a lot, which makes me smile. "Apple." I nod, flipping it to a banana. "What's this?" She looks at me and points, "Banana." I nod again, smiling at my little girl. She smiles back, showing off her little teeth that have grown in.

"Daddy is hungry, are you hungry?" Breakfast time was calling our name. Nia has been hanging out with Beth all day, so I was going to take Hope out to eat.

Hope slides down the slide and runs where I was sitting. I put back on her jacket and we walk back to our house. "How about we invite Grammy to eat with us?" I had a serious question I wanted to ask Nia's mom, and I hoped she was available right now. Hope holds my hands as we walk on the sidewalk. "After we eat we can go see Momma. Yeah? You wanna see Momma?" She looks up at me and nods. "See Momma."

We get to the house and she runs through the door. I call Candace, waiting for her to answer. "Eat eat Daddy." She goes to the kitchen. "Hey son, what's going on?" I smile at her reference of me already being her son. "Hey Candace, I wanted to know if you were free today to eat brunch with Hope and I?"

Hope was making a lot of noise in the kitchen. I go in there and see her trying to get the refrigerator open. I pick Hope up and hold her to my chest, she squeals in my arms. "Sure hon, I can meet you in about ten minutes. Is everything okay?" I nod, smiling wide. Everything would be fantastic. "Yeah, everything is fine; I just want to talk to you about something." She says she'll meet me and we hang up.

I look down at Hope. "Do you need to go potty before we go?" She looks at me and shakes her head, "No." I purse my lips at her. She'll say that now, until we get to the restaurant and she'll pee on herself. "Go pee before we go Hope." I put her down and she walks to the bathroom. I follow her and wait for her to pull down her pull-up and sit on her little pink toilet. She does her business and a song plays. She claps and I laugh. "Now come on so we can see Grammy."

We get to the restaurant and beat Candace there. I get us a table and wait for her to show up. Hope colors on some paper as I anxiously feel like I was going to throw up. I was nervous, but I didn't know it would be this nerve-racking. I mean, of course, Candace would approve. I wanted her opinion first, but I was ready to go forth with this decision.
