Chapter 10: A Chance

If you still ship Naiden and not Kia, then this chapter is going to make you upset. 

If you do ship Kia, then lucky you, this chapter will make you happy. 

We're getting closer to the when Aiden and Nia see each other again. Which is around Chapter 15-16. So now the chapter formation is: 

11-Nia 

12-Aiden 

13&14-Nia

15-Aiden 

I know how you guys feel about Aiden now, but trust me he isn't the bad guy here. Nor is Drew, but you won't understand that until chapter 15. I wish i could speed write and just get it over with so i can post the chapter, but it doesn't work that way. Also the major stuff happenes in Aiden's point of view, that's why i give him at least one chapter so you know what's going on.

Chapter 10: A Chance

Nia

Three months ago I told Kain about my past with Aiden. I told him everything from the locker neighbor, to the life skills class, fake marriage; baby Kyle, meeting his parents, him telling me his feelings and I kissing him. I told him about how after that I realized that I wanted to be with Aiden. I didn't want to doubt myself and over think it, I wanted to be with him, and I already knew he wanted to be with me.

Continuing on, I tell him about Willow. How bat-shit crazy she was, how she thought her and Aiden should be together and how I should be out of the picture because I’m black. I didn't fully go into detail what she did to him, because that was none of his business.

However I did say that she did something that caused her to end up in a mental institution after she got arrested. I tell him about how it was all good after that, we were happy, and it was perfect. Until I didn't get into colleges and everyone was leaving me. I told him about how I sacrificed my relationship, because I didn't want to hold him back. I had no idea why or when I was ever going to be accepted anywhere, and Aiden was a star. He deserved to have a once in a lifetime chance, and he got it.

 I got what I wanted as well; I made it into college and am focusing on my writing. I cried a little at the end of my story and he comforted me again. And to this day I still don’t understand why he would comfort me, when he barely knows me. I barely know myself.

“Do you want hot sauce or no hot sauce on your popcorn?” I asked Kain. Piper, Ellie, Kain, and I were all at his house having a movie night. It was one of those typical nights, hanging out with friends and watching movies. We were watching The Fault in Our Stars, because Ellie brought the movie over and demanded we all watch it.

“Why the hell would I put hot sauce on my popcorn?” He stood in the kitchen with me, leaning on the counter. “Because it’s good, unless you don’t like hot stuff. If not then we don’t have to any on it.” He gives me an amused laugh. “No it’s fine. If you like hot sauce on your popcorn, then go ahead and put it on there.”

The microwave beeps and I take the popcorn out. “At least try it.” I tell him. I shake some into a smaller bowl than the one I have and drizzle some sauce on it. I pass him the bowl and he cautiously takes it. Taking a little hand full, he opens his mouth and eats the popcorn. Chewing it up, he doesn't give me a sign whether he likes it or not. He grabs some more and eats it.

“So is that a yes?” I laugh. He nods. “Yeah, put some on the whole thing.” I do as he says and cover the popcorn lightly with hot sauce. We take it in the room and join the girls. “It was about time, I thought you guys were in there making out or something.” Ellie teased us. I shake my head and sit down on a couch next to them. They start the movie and the trailers role.
