I hope you guys enjoy this quick Christmas Chapter. Sorry it's not long like my usual updates.

If you haven't already

Quick Question: I plan to revise Our Weird Relationship and get it cleaned up some more, and my mother said once i do that, we can talk about me self-publishing the book and putting it on Amazon. She said i could and really want to. And so the question is, if I were to do that, would you guys buy it? Like a real Kindle version, Hardcover, or Paperback copy of OWR?

Chapter 37: Christmas Time

"You look amazing." Aiden compliments me as we get out the car. I was wearing a black sleeved blouse with a red maxi skirt, and a fancy belt. I had my hair up in a ponytail, leaving some out in the back, and light makeup on.

"Thank you honey." He holds my hand as we arrive at the place where the party was. "What kind of party is this again?" He asked. I've been telling him about the party the whole drive here. "It's a party I was invited to by the people I work with at my publishing internship. Just please be nice. There is going to be an author here and I really want to impress her." Aiden looped my arm in his. "So I should act all proper and stuff? Or be myself," I glare at him, hoping he would just be himself. "I was joking, babe. I'm sorry I'll stop."

I've been working at Hillman's publishing three months into the new school year. It's been great and I love it there, but just feel like I have more potential and my ideas could be used if I got a chance. My boss Lacey is a little strict, but she's a strong woman with a job to die for. I was emailed by Mr. Jones, my teacher back in London about it, and I had to take up the offer. Mr. Hillman was glad to hear from me and I started right away.

I hadn't made a lot of new friends, but people did talk to me. Especially a woman named Erin Wellington. She was a nice-looking light skin woman, in her late twenties, and was pretty talkative to anyone, who would listen. She somehow began to be fond of me and invited me to the party.

I almost declined her offer, but she convinced me. "It is nothing to be worried about; it's a small party anyway. Bring that good-looking boyfriend of yours and you'll be fine." Ever since I decided to bring a picture of Aiden and me to sit on my little desk, she will gush over him. I smiled and nodded, "Alright I'll come."

We walk in and am faced with loads of people. "I thought you said this was a small party." Aiden whispered. I find us a table and we sit. "I thought it was, but I guess not. My friend Erin said there would be—"Nia you made it!" I turn around and see exactly who I was talking about.

"Hey Erin." I stood up to hug her and she complimented me on my outfit. "You look great." I smile, saying the same thing about her.

"That's what I told her." Aiden chimed in. Erin turned to him and smiled. "Mmm, you must be Aiden. The famous boyfriend." Aiden looked up at me surprised and shook hands with Erin. "And you are Erin, the friend I just heard about." I frown at Aiden, but she dismisses my expression. "Don't worry, honey, I know he was just joking. How can you not talk about me? I'm Erin." She laughs and so does Aiden.

"Well I'm going to go, but it was nice meeting you Aiden." She winks at Aiden and gives me two kisses on the cheek. She leaves and Aiden puts a hand on my thigh. "Why are you friends with her?" I look to him. "Although she's a little snobby, she keeps it real with everyone in the group during meetings." He nods, looking at me.
