🔱 Chapter 9🔱

Tine woke up the next morning with a Peaceful mind, he stood up and went to the bathroom and found out that his bath has already been prepared. He stripped his clothes and stepped into the well carved wooden and beautifully designed bath tub.

Tay recommended it so as to allow Tine do whatever he wants with it since he was a merman. Tine changed into his form and swam around the tub happily as he splashed the water around with his tail. His maid who was outside heard splashing sounds from the bathroom went to the door and knocked"um Tine are you okay" she asked from outside, hearing nothing from tine, she tried to open the door thinking something might have happened to him. Tine heard her voice and froze, he can't let anyone see him like that he immediately changed back took a robe and covered his body, came out of the tub before she could open the door "what is it" Tine asked her "I thought something happened to you" she said looking worried "no nothing happened I was just enjoying my time" Tine said and she nodded.

"If you are done then come with me I've prepared your breakfast" she said Tine nodded and she walked out. Tine dressed up and went outside, the morning breeze in the immortal realm is just different it was pleasant and welcoming. The view of the clear sky and the peacefulness of the grounds covered in blue lilies almost made him believe he was transported into another world. He looked around and saw Tay at a place that looked like a sit out a little far from the main house but it was connected to it. Tay noticed him, he smiled and waved at Tine to come meet him.

Tine went quickly went to him and hugged him. Tay was shocked and surprised at the same time as Tine hugged him tightly, he patted Tine's back and Tine pulled away he noticed what he did and immediately apologized"I'm sorry I didn't mean to" Tine said trying hard not to look at him"it's okay" Tay said with a soft voice and Tine blushed.

He sat down opposite to Tay facing him. The maids came and served food on the table for them. Tine gulped at the delicious dishes served all of it looks delicious to Tine,when the maids were done passing down the goods and left Tine kept looking at one food to another not knowing which one to start with, Tay looked at him and smiled then he took one of the dishes with a chop stick and put it in an empty plate and gave it to Tine "here try this one first" he said and Tine took it from him, take a chop stick and eats it. His eyes widened at the taste of it and took again to eat as it tastes very good "it's so delicious" Tine said and continued "I've never tasted a food like this back at my kingdom, even the imperial cook at the palace can't cook a food this delicious" Tine said as he continued mulching on the food as Tay looked at him not getting what he meant by that.

Tine stops eating as he realizes what he said and looks up finding Tay staring at him with a confused look."I mean.. em.. my mother never cooked something like this as she is the imperial cook at the palace in my kingdom" Tine lied trying to avoid looking into Tay's eyes.

"if you are wondering how we cook, under the sea at my kingdom. part of my home is shielded, mostly the palace and in there, there's no water it's just like the human world, we can walk and breathe like humans" Tine said and Tay nodded

"Won't your mother be offended when she hears this from you, and she doesn't even know you're here" Tay asked and Tine froze"I guess not" Tine said looking a little down "and to answer your first question, no she will even ask me to tell her who else can be a better cook than her, then she can... challenge that person" Tine lied to him smiling nervously. Tay nodded "your mother must be a nice woman" like says as he eats, Tine scoffed at that but nodded his head as a yes, he can't let Tay know a thing about him or him being a Prince for fear he might send him back to his kingdom to do the duties of a prince.

His parents might plan a thing for him which he doesn't like and it hasn't been long he escaped from home because of the marriage, he can't let Tay know about it and send him home.

Minutes later they were done eating the maids came and cleared away the plates. Tine stood up and stretched himself as he looks at the pond filled with beautiful water lotus and colored fishes init. He watched the fishes swim around the pond. Something flew passed Tine and Tay catches it."Tine" Tay called"yes" Tine answered and went to him,"there's something I want to take care of and I might be gone for a while, so I want you to take care of yourself until am back okay" he said and Tine nodded"if you feel bored you can tell Ani to accompany you and take you out to anywhere you want outside then come back before night"

"but who is Ani" Tine asked

"your personal maid, the one I assigned to you" Tay said

"oh.. I didn't know her name was Ani" Tine said and nodded.

"And Don't talk with any body you meet for long because they can easily detect what you are without you knowing" he warned "and you know what happens if they know" Tay said with seriousness in his voice and Tine nodded again, Tay stood up to leave but Tine held his hand"when will you come back" Tine asked him hoping he will return soon" well the mission will take four days... Just expect me in a week time" Tay said to him and he nodded"come back safe" Tine said and hugged him which caught Tay off guard, he hasn't received this kind of treatment from anyone and it was new to him but he felt happy at least he would have someone to come home to anytime he left, he patted Tine's back and pulled away from the hug and pat Tine's head"then am leaving, here's some money to buy whatever you want " he said and left the place and stopped where Ani was standing and said" keep an eye on him and protect him" he said to her and she nodded.

Immediately he left the residence Tine rushed to where Ani was standing"em.. Ani can you accompany me outside the residence" Tine asked her, she was surprised on how Tine knew her name but it faded as she assumed that the deity must have told him about her. She wondered why the deity brought Tine here because he has never brought anyone to his residence to stay for long, the last person stayed a day before leaving, but for Tine he let him live with him. She shrugged as it wasn't her business but she was still curious about it "maybe Tine is a relative of the deity" she thought but wasn't satisfied because she felt something different with Tine but she doesn't know,"Ani" Tine called waving his hand at her face, she snapped back and stuttered"Y...yes"
"I was asking if you could accompany me me out, don't worry I already told Tay...I mean the deity" Tine said looking at her hopefully she will say yes"yes why not"

"yes" Tine shouted Happily "then shall we go" she said but that didn't like the way she talks to him"it's too formal, I want her loosen up" Tine thought"I want her to be my friend here as I know nobody" Tine thought.
"Eh... Ani you are my friend right now so feel free to talk to me anyhow you want okay" Tine said smiling"That doesn't sound right" she laughs"it does I don't have friends I only have you here and the deity" Tine said but continued"if you want" she smiles and nodded.
