The Immortal's Merman

🔱Chapter 7🔱

Few days past and Tine was still in the hands of the humans, still lying in the pond with no food only water in it which he forces himself to drink. The chief having made people stay away from the pond area decided to proceed with his evil plans because of greediness for riches and wealth. Tine laying in the pond feeling frustrated about everything, doing everything he can to escape but it was useless, he doesn't understand why they still kept him there.

Tine sighed as he doesn't know how to get them to release him, he tried using his siren powers or song, since he can only try that, as he's powers were blocked by the rope.

To lure one of the guards to release him, he was surprised it actually worked. Tine smiled as he kept luring the guard closer to him as he was about to command him to release him someone came and  interrupted it and Tine lost control of the guard. Tine sighs angrily and looked at the intruder and realized that it was the same person who visited him the day he was brought there.

"Looking handsome as ever" Tine thought in his head as he looks at him "uhh tine stop staring at him you need to escape from here maybe he will help, but will he, he was the one who trapped me here" Tine said in his mind. Tine watched as the deity released the guard from his spell and ordered him to leave. He faced Tine and said to him"I thought you have been released, what do they still keep you here for" he said.

Tine left looked at him with a pleading look as he decided to speak to him "p.please let me go I meant no harm I was just t.trying to find my way h.home, only to be swept to the shore by the storm" Tine stuttered looking at him.

"I can't someone was found dead the same place they found you, for the fear of when they release you, you call your people for revenge" he said

Tine looks at him with a surprised look on his face as he continued "so I have no choice but to keep you here for the time being as the chief ordered, and I have to respect the people's word's for it's my work" he said in a low voice as he was about to leave.

Tine felt tears about to fall from his eyes as he saw no way back for him to escape"at least give me some food I'm starving" Tine can't stay a day more without anything to eat as his small body is too fragile to stay for a long time without food, so the man used his powers and conjured lots of fishes in the pond where Tine was and turned his back and left, as he reached the towards the door separating the pond and the chief's residence he turned back and looked at Tine who was trying to eat and thought"looking at him I don't think he's a threat but why did the chief said he's a threat but not wanting to release him" he thought as he left as he felt the chief was up to something.

Tine takes one of the fishes to eat but he lost his appetite already as tears falls down his glowing cheeks and fell into the water as beautiful and shiny pearls.

The chief and his partner were in a room talking about the merman as they plan to take out Tine's scales.

At night the chief summoned his guards and went with them to meet Tine, as  they approached the pond, Tine was asleep so he whispered to his men to scrape the scales from it, they were afraid but still they have to because they were ordered to. They went closer to him, Tine having heard some noise behind him opened his eyes saw the guards coming closer to him, he felt it
as he tried to move away from the edge.

The guards were scared to go close to him, when tiyne opened his eyes and tried to move they ran back in fear but the chief shouted at them"don't be afraid and get it, he is tied down he won't do anything" the guards went closer to Tine. They brought out daggers and used it to scrape out Tine's scale from his tail, but it was too strong.
