Chapter 22

What a glorious Sunday Morning. Diamond woke up feeling refreshed and full of energy. Today felt like such a positive day and she didn't know why.

Maybe she did but did not want to admit it.

Kissing Liam had done something to her. It had lit something inside her.

Something she would like to explore.

Hopefully, she gets the opportunity to know her husband even more now.

Dressing up in simple pants and a hoodie, Diamond begins to make her way downstairs for some breakfast. About halfway through the flight of stairs, she finds herself staring at the kitchen where Liam was busy focused on reading headlining news for the day to notice his wife staring.

How did I not notice how good-looking he actually is?  Diamond ponders still staring.

The small smile that was on Diamond's face is suddenly wiped out when Liza entered the kitchen. Sending a quick greeting to her mother, Liza takes a seat next to Liam moving her chair close to him.

Too close.

Liam barely acknowledges Liza as he was too invested in the news report he was currently reading. That was until Liza decided to grab his shoulder to catch his attention.

"Yes?" Liam asks switching off his phone and staring at the girl.

Liza smiles innocently and smiles softly. "I said good morning."

Liam who was slightly annoyed but didn't want to ruin the overall vibrant mood says a short greeting to Liza before moving his chair and the rest of him further away from her.

"How did you sleep?"

"Good."

Liza expected Liam to return the question. She waited for several seconds before she realized Liam was never going to return the question, so she decides to follow a different approach.

Only she hasn't realized Diamond was nearing the table

"It was a bit hot last night. I couldn't sleep."

"Oh that's...unfortunate." Liam mumbles awkwardly.

"I then realized the heat was bothering me. I felt like I was gonna melt. I had to take my clothes off to fall asleep."

That statement made Liam raise his head, but not in interest. He was wondering why Liza would say something like that. Why did it sound as if she was implying something?

Diamond had heard everything and was starting to get annoyed by Liza'a behaviour. First she asks about their sleeping arrangements and now is busy telling her husband that she slept naked?

Is it possible...

Does Liza like Liam?

Shaking away the thought she enters the kitchen with a bright smile on her face.

"Morning!" she greets happily.

Liza noticed the way Liam's attention suddenly shifted to Diamond. The way his eyes lit up, and the sweet smile he gave to her.

How sickening.

Diamond, who could still hear Liza's last statement bent down to Liam's level and places a soft kiss on the cheek. Liam who was overjoyed by the sudden affection happily returns the kiss. Liza couldn't help but roll her eyes at that.

"Yesterday was too hot wasn't it Diamond?" Liza says, starting her agenda.

Diamond nods. "Yes, it was."
