the flu

Jared Padalecki was on set shooting a particularly grueling scene when he started to feel a little dizzy. He brushed it off, assuming it was just fatigue from the long hours of filming. But as the day wore on, he started to feel worse. His head was pounding, his throat was sore, and he couldn't stop coughing.

The makeup artist noticed that he looked pale and clammy and suggested that he take a break. Jared nodded, grateful for the chance to rest. He stumbled over to his trailer and collapsed on the couch. He tried to close his eyes and rest, but he couldn't stop shivering.

The next thing he knew, his costar Jensen Ackles was standing over him, looking concerned. "You don't look so good, man," Jensen said, placing a hand on Jared's forehead. "You're burning up."

Jared tried to sit up, but his head was spinning. "I think I'm sick," he croaked. "I don't know what's wrong with me."

Jensen helped him up and guided him to his car. "I'm taking you to the doctor," he said firmly. "You need to get checked out."

Jared didn't argue. He was too weak to put up a fight. He slumped in the passenger seat, feeling miserable.

The doctor diagnosed him with a bad case of the flu. He prescribed some medication and told Jared to get plenty of rest. Jensen drove him back to his trailer and helped him into bed.

For the next few days, Jared was confined to his trailer, too weak to do much of anything. Jensen stopped by every day to check on him and bring him soup and other comfort foods. He even brought his guitar and played some tunes to lift Jared's spirits.

Slowly but surely, Jared started to feel better. His fever broke and his cough subsided. He was able to return to filming, although he was still a little weak and shaky.

Jensen was impressed with how stoic Jared had been through the whole ordeal. "You were a real trooper," he said, clapping him on the back. "I don't know how you managed to keep going like that."

Jared just smiled weakly. "I had a good nurse," he said, nodding towards Jensen. "Thanks for taking care of me, man."
