Looking through the large window of the spaceship, Sloane watched blackness surrounding them. The chatter of a different language slowly came to her as the ringing in her ears stopped.

As she leaned forward to ask Nellie questions, the ship was thrust to the right by a powerful blast.

"We're under fire on the starboard side."

"Activate protection vector." Nellie commanded.

"Forcefield activated. Starting cloaking shield now."

"Once fully untraceable, hyper flash ahead."

"Ma'am," one of the pilots looked at Nellie. "We just conducted hyper speed to leave the Earth's atmosphere. If we hyper flash, we run the risk of blowing one, if not all the engines."

Nellie's eyes were stern and commanding.

"Do as I say. We'll deal with the outcome once we're not under attack!"

"Yes, ma'am."

Nellie turned her focus to Sloane.

"Keep buckled in. Close your eyes, this may make you sick."

Nodding, Sloane gripped the arms of her chair and closed her eyes. She swallowed nervously, waiting for something to happen. Suddenly, she was thrust against the back of her seat, the force of the launch keeping her pinned in place. She couldn't open her eyes if she wanted to.

After what seemed like an eternity, she finally felt the ship slow, and barely opened one eye to peek.

Conversations she couldn't understand but didn't need to understand the language to know that the urgency in their voices was cause for concern.

"Are we under attack?"

"Well, it does seem an Earth ship was perusing us."

"Earth ship? What?"

Since when did Earth have actual livable spaceships?

"Yes." One of the pilots answered in English and immediately turned his attention to Nellie. "It looks like it's Falcor again."

Nellie's eyes narrowed, her fists clenched, and she growled out the name.

"Falcor."

"Could someone please tell me what the hell is going on?!"
