chapter 6- Who's this jackass?

"Dude you are going to love this place!" Mikey grinned as three of the brothers led Leonardo and Usagi to a Pizza joint.

"Are you sure this is safe?" Leonardo whispered to his soft-shelled brother.

"Leo, you don't need to worry about it. These Yokai are just like the humans, but better." Donatello shrugged back.

With a questioning look Leo asked Donnie, "You trust the humans?"

"You know, there not that bad. I know we've had lots of problems with the Foot Clan and all, but not all people are bad." Donnie retorted shooting Leo a slightly anxious glance.

"Every human is the same. Once they see that you're different they'll see you as a monster, and only a monster." Leonardo hissed a little to loudly to the point the other brothers glanced back awkwardly.

"April didn't." Donnie hissed back, this time holding eye contact with Leo.

Leo was slightly taken-a-back by Donatello's directness, Donnie used to shy away from eye contact yet here he was standing up for himself.

"You guys coming or what?" Raph barked at the two brothers.

Leo's pride burned to hotly to make him pull away first. Thankfully Donatello had more self control and dropped the argument.

"You might trust humans, or these 'Yokai', but I don't. So don't expect me to go soft like the rest of y'all. I've seen my share." Leo muttered to Donnie as the two re joined the group.

Leo could see Donnie's Jaw clench then release within seconds. Leo knew he probably sounded like Raph but tried to shrug it off. He hoped Donnie knew what he was attually trying to put out.

"Sinor! It's good to see my favorite customer again. What has been holding you up?" A Cat with calico markings grinned towards Mikey.

"The family has been a little held up." Mikey grinned back, sharing the same excitement as the cat Yokai.

"Table for five please, Rustic." Donnie slid in.

"You got it, Don!" The cat, Rustic, purred. The cat Yokai led the five to a large booth with enough space for all of them.

"This place reminds me a lot of home." Usagi hummed as the boys found their seats. Leo sat on the end refusing to be trapped in, Usagi was sitting next to him.

Leo kept his eyes sharp as he constantly surveyed the restaurant. He had never been in one as a customer before, only when fighting the Foot Clean did he ever enter a restaurant. There was this Spider lady that gave Leo the chills dinning at the restaurant. In front of her sat a bull. Leo couldn't seem to pull away from her. Something about her scared him.

"Leo!" Michelangelo snapped as he crossed his arms looking impatient.

"Sorry." Leo apologized locking eyes with his younger brother. Finally managing to remover his eyes from the Spider lady.

"What do you want?" Mikey asked gesturing towards a Yokai standing in front of the table taking their orders. Leo had been so focused on the random lady he didn't even realize the waiter.

"Nothing." Leo waved slightly to emphasize his request. Leo's attention instantly went back to where the Spider lady was. But she had disappeared in such a short time! Her date was still there however.

She must've just gone to the restroom.

Leo refocused on the group sitting with him.

"He's new, I've never seen him before." Mikey commented gesturing so lightly it was hard to tell. Mikey had gestured towards the waiter that had taken their orders.
