𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙜𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙠𝙚 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙖 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩, 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 where she was. Cold, jagged stone closed in on all sides, icicles formed where they jutted out from the walls. She lifted her head, the events of yesterday rushing back. She remembered that Willowkit, Skyrose, and her were ushered to Foxstar's den by Rosefall. Warriors had broken through the snow that had trapped them in the nursery and begun helping them dig Willowkit and Fawnkit out. After what felt like ages, they finally broke through, hearing Willowkit clawing at the snow on the other side.

But Indigokit and Willowkit were rushed out of the nursery shortly after, hushed by Rosefall as the white queen ordered them to rest in Foxstar's den. The leader had offered them a place to sleep while the nursery was being rebuilt. Indigokit shuddered. Her muscles ached as she got to her paws. Skyrose shifted in her sleep beside Indigokit. She realized that Willowkit wasn't in the den. Neither was Fawnkit. She hadn't seen her littermate since the nursery roof caved in. She had been so exhausted from digging she fell asleep in a heartbeat. Indigokit's heart sank.

She quickly squeezed out of Foxstar's den, hearing Skyrose rustle behind her, but she didn't stop. She noticed Sunflare, Cinderdash, and Mountainpaw as she saw them digging to clear out Foxstar's den entrance. Cinderdash avoided her gaze. Sunflare acknowledged her presence with a flick of his tail. Mountainpaw frowned. She squinted as bright leaf-bare light glared into her eyes. She immediately looked to the medicine den on her left. Beampaw was forcing her way into a small gap to get inside. Warriors momentarily stopped their digging to let her in.

"The herbs are intact!" Her call was muffled by the packed snow that filled the entrance. "Our nests, not so much."

Indigokit felt fear worm under her fur. Warriors were traveling in and out of camp, clearing the quarry of the snow. Rosefall, Embersun, Flutterstorm, and Flameheart were clearing the elders' den to the right. The warriors' and apprentices' dens were both wide open, untouched by the unforgiving drifts that had blown into the dens on the left side of camp. Thank StarClan the blizzard was finally over.

Indigokit scanned the clearing, finally noticing a ball of cream tabby fur in the center of the quarry. Her stomach began to churn. She weaved between her Clanmates, the packed-down snow crunching underneath her paws. The scent of death touched her nose, and she flinched back as she came two tail-lengths from the body. Oh, Fawnkit...

Indigokit's legs buckled beneath her, and she fell to rest her head along the back of Fawnkit's neck, feeling sick with grief. His body was as cold as ice, and his fur was matted with snow. Indigokit closed her eyes, breathing in the scent of her littermate. Pawsteps from behind her made Indigokit lift her head. Willowkit came to sit beside Fawnkit's head, bowing her head low. Her shoulders were scrunched like a defeated enemy. Indigokit frowned, her ears lowering to the sides of her head in sympathy.
