Chapter 9

I started to wake up. I couldn't quite open my eyelids yet but I could make out voices. They were yelling and arguing about something. I was suddenly thrown forward and slammed into what felt like a wall. I think I'm in a car. I let out a sigh and and tried to get up, but right as I was about to open my eyes, I was hit on the head again and fell unconcious. Again.

----------------------------------------

I bolted upright and opened my eyes. The light was blinding and I had to shield the light with my hand. I could see and what I saw kind of surprised me. My mails were painted a dark red. It was a really pretty color but what shocked me was that I never painted my nails. Inpainted my nails last month but a nude color. I don't know why someone would paint my nails.

Then my instincts kicked in and I saw my surroundings. I was tucked into a bed in a quite dapper room. It had two big windows and the sun was shining through. The room was slightly simple with wood flooring, beige walls, and black cabinets, but the view made up for it. Not that the room was bad at all. It was big and the bed had canopy drapes and the walls had beautiful pictures of powerful wolves. They all were stunning.

Then my eyes went back to the windows. I had to get a better look at the scenery! I went towards the double window doors with black lining and opened them. I stepped out into the fresh air and was taken back when I felt a little cold. It's normal like regular people but I wasnt wearing what I was earlier,if it's the same day that is. I was sporting a pair of black denim shorts with a flowy muscle tank top. It was white and had dark brown buttons running down the middle. I ignored the fact that someone had changed me while I was unconcious for the time being.

I looked around and I was standing on a balcony about three stories high. I could see miles of green forest surrounding many houses. There was even a blue river running through part if the trees and it all looked so.... I'm not really sure what to call it besides magical. It looked like a painting or a scene from when there were kings and I would be a princess looking down upon the kingdom. It even felt powerful. Like I ruled what I saw. The problem with that though was, I didn't know what I was looking at. Where was I? If this is the Spire pack who kidnapped me, why wasn't I dead? Why was I in this beautiful room and not in a dungeon? All these questions and more were spinning through my mind. Then I heard a knock on the door.

Maybe I can figure out the answers to some of my questions. "Come in." I wasn't surprised when a girl I had never seen in my life before walked in. She was really pretty with her blonde curled hair and green eyes that matched her tan skin. She was almost an exact opposite of me. I was a brunette with natural ombre and blue eyes. I wasn't very dark but I had a nice tan. I must have been staring at her while deciding wheather I like her or not. I zone out a lot i you haven't noticed yet.

"Ummmm hi. I'm Dakota. I don't really know how to tell you this or what to say, but welcome home! Now I gottan get back to my room." She simply said as if she were telling me 'happy birthday!'

"Slow down. I have way too many questions starting with where am I, why am I here, and why did you jut say welcome home?" I demanded her to tell me. Just to make sure she wouldn't slip away before I got my answers I stood in front of the door, the only way out of my room.

"I really have to get back to my room or the alpha will get mad. He wants to be the first to talk to you."

I had to keep her here to get some answers. "I won't let you out till you at least answer those three questions. Now spill it."

She sighed. "If you promise not to let the alpha know I told you. To answer your questions, you are in Colorado on Spire pack territory. You're here because you're the girl we had to find. I said welcome home because this IS your new home. You're stuck here. You'll find out more when the alpha comes to talk to you. Now I really must be going."

I was so confused I didn't mind letting her move me out of her way. With her gone and this news making no sense, I went back to the bed and tucked myself under the covers. I stared out the windows until I fell into a peaceful, confusing, sleep.
