Author POV

It had been 2 weeks since the incident. Yaseen's uncle and aunt had been trying to cheer him up but all in vain. All he could focus on was the fact that his parents were dead and he was an orphan now.

A pathetic orphan. That's what he thought of himself.

The doctors told him that when he passed out, a big wooden block had fallen on him. There were 100% chances of his spine getting broken into pieces but he survived miraculously. He had been in coma for 10 days. While the doctors were amazed over his case, he felt depressed. The reason why he was put in the hospital for so long was because the doctors were concerned for his mental health.

Why did all of this happen to him?

He just wanted a normal life.

He was deep in his thoughts when a nurse came in and informed him of a psychiatrist who had came to see him.

"I don't want to meet anyone."

"You know this the 6th time you are refusing to see her. Why don't you give her a chance?" the nurse politely suggested. After thinking for a few minutes he finally answered.

"Fine."

"May I come in?" a woman who looked in her early thirties emerged from behind the glass door.

"Yes." he answered while looking out the window.

"So, how is it going?" she asked as she sat on the chair in front of him.

"Worse than hell." he replied monotonically.

The psychiatrist raised her brows and let out a small chuckle.

"You know hell is worse than this."

"I thought you were supposed to help me." Yaseen said while finally looking at her this time.

"I am helping you." she smiled.

Yaseen raised his eyebrow in a questioning way.

"Your brother didn't die in a car crash."

"What do you mean? Is he alive?" He asked as he sat up straight. He was confused. What does this have to do with his brother?

"Unfortunately, no. But one thing is for sure that he was murdered."

"Murdered?" his eyes widened in disbelief.

"Yup. He was shot. Three bullets fired in his heart and one on his skull. He had a chance of surviving the heart bullets but the skull one........ He couldn't survive."

Yaseen was quiet. After mustering up enough courage he finally said "W-who would do....... such... a thing? My brother was.... innocent."

"Yeah. He was innocent."

"Then why?"

"I don't know. I thought I should tell you this." She got up and went towards the door. Turning around, she smiled.

"God bless you Yaseen. And good luck."
