Chapter 9 - Seven against one!?

"Thirteen and Eraser Head... The information we received the other day says that All Might was supposed to be here," says the man with his hand on his face.

"So, this is the handiwork of those scumbags from the other day, right?" Aizawa appears tense.

"Where is he?" the man asks. "And here we are, living among this crowd... All Might... the Symbol of Peace... I can't believe he's not here. I wonder if he'll come if we kill some of these kids..."

Aizawa takes a fighting position, and Thirteen puts an arm in front of us, signaling us not to move.

"What? Villains? It can't be... There's no way they could have infiltrated the hero academy!" Kirishima exclaims.

"Sensei, what about the anti-intruder sensors?" Yaoyorozu asks with concern.

"We have them, of course, but..." It seems like they had planned everything meticulously. Aizawa asks Denki to use his quirk to try to communicate with UA and gets ready to attack.

"And what about you? Are you going to fight them all alone?" Izuku questions. "Even if you erase their quirks... Eraser Head's fighting style is about capturing the enemy and then erasing their quirk. A head-on battle is..."

"You can't be a hero with just one trick," Aizawa interrupts. In that moment, I feel a great admiration for him. "I entrust them to you, Thirteen." He lunges at the villains. We see him fight in an impressive manner for a few seconds, but Thirteen tells us to move away. We're about to reach the exit when a portal opens in front of the door, revealing a purple shadow.

"I won't let you go," the shadow says threateningly. "Pleased to meet you. We are the League of Villains. It may be presumptuous of us, but we invited ourselves to the heroes' home, UA High School, to make All Might take his last breath. I believe All Might should be here. Has there been a change? Well, whether he's here or not, this is the part I'll play." I see Kirishima and Katsuki rush towards the shadow, and my heart beats fast with a fear I've never felt before, seeing them so exposed to danger. Before my mind can react, my body responds, and I step in front of them to try to stop them.

"Stop, it's dangerous!" I shout. But it's too late. Katsuki launches an explosion intending to attack the shadow but doesn't react in time to see that I'm in front of him, and he hits me as he tries to push me aside.

"Haiyoru-san!" Mina and Hagakure cry out. I go flying through the air and crash heavily onto the ground. Katsuki realizes and turns surprised in my direction.

"Oh my, that was dangerous. You even hurt one of your comrades," the shadow comments. Jiro and Momo approach and help me up. The explosion only causes a burn on my side, and I hear a ringing in my ears, making it difficult to hear. I'm dazed and struggle to get up, but I manage to do so. "It's true. Even as students, you're excellent golden eggs," the shadow says. Katsuki continues to look at me, his shocked expression still unchanged.

"No! Move, both of you!" Thirteen orders them.

"My job is to scatter and torture you!" The shadow surrounds us in darkness. A strong wind begins to blow.

"What the...?" Kirishima exclaims, but he doesn't finish his sentence. The wind picks up, and we can barely keep our footing, unable to even open our eyes.

When I come to my senses, I'm falling from somewhere to who knows where. I crash violently onto the ground and roll down a hill, causing injuries to my face and body. I struggle to get up and find myself surrounded by about seven villains, all of them looking at me with malicious smiles.

"We've got ourselves a little kitten?"

"She doesn't seem very dangerous."

"We better finish this quickly. I get bored when fighting against kids."

I assume a defensive stance, not exactly sure what's happening, but aware that these individuals intend to harm me, and I won't allow it. Even though I'm alone and disoriented, my instinct urges me to take an offensive position.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" I ask in a voice that I don't recognize as my own.

"Wow, it looks like the girl isn't afraid, huh? I'm going to take away that confidence before you can even blink," a woman lunges at me, but I easily dodge her.

"Did you think you'd defeat me so quickly?" I say to her, unable to suppress a malicious smile. I feel the adrenaline surging through my body. I seize the opportunity to grab her arm before she can react and, with a sudden movement, I make her fall backward to the ground.

All the villains come at me simultaneously, and I decide to activate my wolf fangs and claws. I manage to dodge a boy who tries to strike me with a bat formed from his arm, but at the same time, another one hits me in the face, causing me to step back. I quickly rise and trip a girl approaching me, then deliver a headbutt, leaving her unconscious by my side. Although I feel the pain in my cheek from the blow, I ignore it and successfully evade a knife that barely grazes me. I launch a fierce attack on three of them, making them fall to the ground, while striking and kicking everything around me. I dare not transform into a wolf, as I have never bitten people. Even though I feel free to inflict harm, I cannot bite human flesh.

I "defeat" four of them, but the other three close in on me, and one of them manages to strike me several times. They corner me between them, and a girl begins relentlessly striking my face. I feel blood in my mouth.

"Don't you ever give up!?" the girl exclaims, separating each word with a new blow that disorients me more each time. In one of her punches, I catch with my teeth the object she's hitting me with, and I realize it's a piece of iron, so I break it in two with my fangs. I extend my claws and scratch one of the villains who's holding onto my arm to immobilize me. Then, I deliver a kick to the one holding me from behind and free myself from his grip. I strike the girl who was assaulting me and leave her on the ground, feeling my knuckles covered in blood.

"Damn brat..." says the guy who's two meters taller than me, the same one I had hit in the groin. He tries to rush at me, but I narrowly manage to dodge him. However, as I move, another boy pelts me with huge stones that I mostly manage to avoid by transforming into an eagle, but one of them hits me, and once again, due to the impact, I transform back into a human.

I'm sent flying against the mountain behind me, and at the last moment, I collide with something cold that acts like a slide, sliding me down to the ground. I feel pain all over my body and taste blood. I hear the familiar sound of ice forming, and when I finally manage to open my eyes, I see that all the villains I had immobilized and those still standing are frozen. I struggle to stand up, but I feel intense pain in my knee that causes me to fall to the ground again. At that moment, someone lifts me up.

"You fought well, Haiyoru."
