One week later
Soren giggled. He loved spending time with Lucid. He loved Lucid. He was his most favourite person in the End.
Lucid smiled, enjoying hearing him laugh. He was glad he managed to get the courts to let him have Soren for a month under the excuse that it would be healthier for Soren to spend time outside of a cell for awhile. He ruffled Soren's hair. "I wish you could stay with me..." He said quietly.
Soren looked away. "Why can't I...?"
"I haven't got enough money and I couldn't pay them off over time. I'm so so sorry, Soren..."
Soren teared up. "I want to be with you."
Lucid picked him up. "You'll burn away to nothing. Please don't cry."
Soren kept crying.
Lucid tickled him.
Soren started giggling.
The two of them played around for hours until Soren fell asleep in Lucie's arms.
Lucid held him close and fell asleep on the couch.
