Soren hadn't let anyone love him for years until he met Trident.
Trident was a dragon.
Him and Trident travelled, most of the time talking about things they wanted to do when they next stopped at a village. Most of the time, the talks were those of destruction.
Neither of them liked anyone else and, for the first time in 7 years, Soren started to warm to someone.
But he never let himself get too close to Trident, in fear of him getting killed and Soren being alone once more.
Len watched over Soren, not liking what he was doing. But he couldn't do anything about it. He was too far away from him.
