"What are you thinking?" Ramona asked as we sat in the resturant waiting for out food.
"I really don't know what to do. I didn't expect them to say something like that. I figured maybe it was something about Riley, or Kane possibley. Nothing that was close to me having an arranged marriage." I sighed.
"You don't have to do this." She assured me.
"I just don't want to be the bitch that sent him back to Rio to be tortured and treated like slave, you know?" I questioned.
"I had the same thoughts, well kind of when they pushed the baby thing upon us. I would do this for you if I could. I hated River when I first met him, I wanted nothing to do with his cocky attitude. Having a baby on purpose is not the life I wanted for myself. But it turned out great. I'm not saying to do it because my life turned out alright, i'm just saying lets think rationally about this." She said.
"Maybe it won't be so bad, you know? Maybe we could get married then just not have to live together or anything. It could be just a peice of paper." I shrugged.
The waitress came over, setting our food down on the table in front of us, making my mouth basically drool at the sight of it. Ramona looked like she was deep in thought then she smiled over at me.
"That's a great idea!" She cooed.
"What is?" I asked grabbing my fork.
"The marriage, just a peice of paper. Nobody said that you guys have to live together or do any real marriage stuff right?" Ramona smiled.
"So you mean just marry him, get the paper and say were married so he doesn't have to move back to Rio?" I questioned, pushing food into my mouth.
"Exactly." She replied looking down at her phone, "River says they arranged it so that the both of you get to meet eachother and talk about it tonight. At Ponderosa."
"I'm going to get fat if I keep on eating out all the time." I groaned.
"It'll be worth it." She smiled at me assuringly.
"Will you drop me off?" I asked.
"Of course." She smiled.
--------------------------------------
I stood outside of the resturant, with my red dress clung to my hips. I looked more like Ramona than myself. I smiled at how great I looked, I felt confident for once rather than the geeky, smart girl who was all about school.
I began to think if this guy was even going to show up. Ricky popped up into my head. How was I going to explain to Ricky that I was basically on a date with another guy. I doubt he'd understand.
"Aubrey?" Asked an innocent voice from behind me.
I turned on my heal to see a guy who looked almost like River, but not at the same time. His hair was in a mess of light brown curls that looked great with his black eyes that reminded me of Darla. I smiled at his toned body, he looked really buff, the kind of guy who was all about sex. I scoffed at the sight of him, but my body tingled the closer he got.
"Yes?" I questioned, realizing that I didn't know his name.
"Keaton." He said.
"Oh, hi." I said shyly.
"It looks pretty bummed here, want to go somewhere else?" He asked, smirking at my body.
"I don't know-" I paused.
"If we're going to be married soon, you should get used to being around me." He winked and started walking back towards his truck.
"Keaton I-I don't think this is a good idea." I studdered.
