This Chapter is a bit confusing but bare with me here.
------------------------------------------------------------------
It's been a week since we've been staying in the cabin and haven't had a sign of Zazu yet. We started to slowely let our guard down and started leaving the cabin more instead of depending on River and Ramona to get things for us that we needed.
I stood at the counter, knife in my hand, cutting up strawberries when I heard somebody walk up behind me. I relaxed when I felrt Keaton's arms snake around my waist. I relax against him as I continued to cut the strawberries up for a smoothie.
"Two more weeks, and we'll be married. No more hiding, no more secrets. Just us." He assured me.
"I know." I whispered.
I put the strawberries into the blender with Keaton still pressed against my back side. He kissed my shoulder, then the side of my neck. I moaned softly as he bit down on my neck carefully.
"You need ice cream." Keaton chuckled against my neck.
"Yeah, I noticed that." I sighed.
"I'll go get some." He said walking over to the door.
Something felt wrong about letting him go alone. I dont' know what it was but something really didn't feel right about letting him go the store. I know it's only a few miles away but it still didn't see right. Something was wrong.
"Keaton wait." I said, making him stop in his tracks.
I walked over to him where he was facing me standing at the door. I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him tenderly on the lips. He gripped onto my hips, holding me against him as he kissed back. He pulled away, breathing heavily as he smiled at me.
"What was that for?" He smiled.
"I-I don't know." I studdered.
"I'll be right back babe." He smiled, walking out the door.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Ramona please, he left over an hour ago and he hasn't come home yet. Something not right, please come get me. I don't feel safe. The store is only a few miles away and he still isn't back. Something is wrong." I panic'd on the phone.
"I'm already on my way there Aubrey, don't go anywhere." She warned as I hung up the phone.
I pulled on my short jean shorts, and pulled on one of Keaton's sweaters. I let his scent wrap around my body, making me calm down for a minute. I was more than scared to know that Keaton should be home by now. Something didn't seem right about this.
"Knock knock." Ramona said walking inside.
I bolted over to where she was standing in the doorway. I basically jumped into her arms as she hugged me, rubbing my back. I left a few tears fall gently down my face. I sighed as she let go of me and gave me an assuring smile.
We walked instead of driving. It would be easier to see Keaton since he walked I think, but anyways the point is that I was looking for Keaton, and needed to find him, soon. Before I went compeltely insane.
The walk seemed to go on for days but was only maybe fifteen to twenty minutes before we found tiny traces of blood on the road. I panic'd instantly and we fallowed the blood splotches until we found Keaton's shirt hanging from a tree.
Something about this wasn't right. It seemed too set up. Was this really happening? Or was this a joke? If so, it wasn't in any way funny. His shirt was bloody, and I could hear groans of pain. Ramona looked over at me worried as she hooked her eyes on something behind me.
