I knew the person who saved me was stealthy, quick, and had something purple on them. That's about all. But who cares? With a quick post on social media, a few ads, and the video evidence, surely someone may know about them.

"Hey, do you think this'll work?" I asked Olivia. She turned around in the swivel chair and gave me a confused look. "What?"

Practically shoving the phone onto her desk, I started ranting about what had occurred last night. "Trust me on it, okay? I promise I'm not drunk or on drugs. You've gotta believe me. I know what I saw, and I have a recording of some of it!" She had wide eyes and obviously didn't trust me at all. Her face soon turned to concerned.

"Are you sure you're getting enough sleep? I know those grades mean a lot to you, but come on. You've gotta get to bed earlier. And don't go out that late at night, anyways." She swiveled back around and threw the phone at me.

I looked down at my posting.

"Looking for information regarding a vigilante/hero/secret agent who has purple on them. Stealthy, quick, and silent. Able to beat up and knock out large opponents. Fled the scene with no trace.

Please reply if you know about them. Photos would be helpful."

Even if my friend doesn't believe me enough, I'm sure someone will. I know what I saw.

It was a bit later that day when my phone finally buzzed, the icon for a new message popping up. I grabbed it quickly and read through the response.

"???:            We have information for you. This is a highly confidential matter and, as so, must be treated with upmost secrecy. Please consider meeting us at the address listed below. We will clarify your questions regarding the vigilante."

"Huh." I said out loud. Tapping the address, it showed up as only a few minutes away from my apartment.

Equipped with a bag, phone, and camera, I headed out down the street. Following the directions offered by Google, I made it to the destination and found it was an abandoned restaurant.

That's totally not suspicious or weird. Maybe I should head back.

"Hello," a gruff voice came out of nowhere. I spun around and saw a man who looked like some sort of monster. That's definitely suspicious and weird. I should probably go now. "I suppose you received our message."

Nodding hesitantly, I stepped back a bit. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea.

Then, I heard a noise behind me. A cloud of some sort of smoke exploded around me, making me cough and fall to the ground in a haze.
