Turbulence

"Is it true?" Lana asked

"Yes," Cecily said above a whisper. "Do you feel the same way back?"

"I have. I've always had why do you think I waited all this time." Lana said carefully standing up not to wake Edith.

She stood in front of Cecily with a smile.

"Why didn't you tell me?" Cecily asked cupping her cheek.

"Because you were with Maximilian and then he passed... I couldn't lose my best friend. Even if it meant watching over you from a distance."

"Oh Lana- "

"Don't ! tell mommy I told you." Edith sleep talked tossing to the side. "Snitches get stitches, and I will deny it!" She proclaimed holding one finger up "and I want chocolate!" Edith's hand dropped and she started snoring again.

"Guess she also sleep talks like her mommy,"Cecily laughed with Lana.

"Did you guys figure out the plan?"Lana asked running her thumb over Cecily's hand.

"Yeah, we leave tomorrow for my cousin Eugene's castle,"

Lana couldn't help but frown, "I'm sure you and Edith will have a great time,"

"You know by we I mean everyone, you, Francois, Jacques, and even Xavier. We need to stick together."

"Really?" Lana beamed.

Cecily gently kissed her cheek, " I think Edith would miss you as much as I would."

"Are we a thing?" Lana giggled.

Cecily playfully rolled her eyes, "I'd hope so."

"What are we gonna tell Edith?" Lana worried.

"She was the one who and I quote -snitched-, I don't think she would have if she had a problem with it."

"Fair point, good thing she did," Lana kissed her cheek.

"NO!" Edith screamed startling both of them, Edith tossed from side to side kicking her legs. "I'll keep quiet!"

Cecily and Lana rushed to her side.

Cecily cradled her trashing body, "Edith wake up baby,"

"No Hurt! STOP!" Edith wailed, tears streaming down her face. "I won't tell! I won't !"

"Edith!" Lana screamed in worry.

Making Edith wake up, she tried to run from Cecily's arms frantic.

"Edith look at me!" Cecily said in worry.

"No, no, no" Edith cried.

Lana gently grabbed her hands "Cupcake, you're safe, look around."
Edith looked up and connected eyes with Lana and Cecily.

"See your home, you're safe," Lana assured.

Edith hid in Cecily's chest wailing.

Cecily patted her bottom and looked back at Lana, "her nappy is full." She mouthed.

"Como on baby, let me freshen you up," Cecily whispered as she brought her to the bathroom.

"Here I'll help," Lana went and got a fresh nappy ready.

They both made quick work of getting Edith changed into a clean nappy, and safely back into Cecily's chest where she cried herself to sleep.

Both the women sighed as they looked at each there with worry and a mix of anger towards the person that had hurt their baby.
