Chapter 7

Narrator's POV

Dani sat on an ice block that she made away from everyone as everyone looked at her in sympathy. Sam rubbed his arm in discouragement because he didn't know how to help his girlfriend. Talia watched her daughter then walk over to Sam to give him some advice about her daughter.

"You know, when Daniya was younger I always knew she would be different from her brother. Not because she looked like her father but because I looked into her eyes and saw hope. The hope that Damian didn't have and hoped to be helpful instead of vengeful, she has the heart of a hero as I said to her. She still has that hope and heart, but she won't listen to me anymore but maybe she will listen to you as long as you listen to her." Talia said as she patted Sam's shoulder then walked back to the group and Sam sighed then went to Dani. He sat on the ice next to her and she looked at him as he smiled at her then put her face back in her hands.

"I don't know what else to do, Ember is too powerful and all of my other plans failed. If I can't even lead this team then how am I going to rule over an entire dimension?" Dani asked rhetorically as Sam sat and processed everything she said.

"Well, the way I remembered back once upon a time ago, Dani Fenton never quit, even when she wanted to, she didn't. Plans fail, but you have to get back up and try again, because that is what heroes do. So, what are you going to do?" Sam asked and Dani thought about it then turned to him.

"Probably something stupid." Dani stated and Sam smiled then looked at her.

"Good, but you already did that." Sam said as she replayed all her past plans with Ember in her head then came up with one plan.

"Then something crazy." She replied back then ran to the group as Sam smiled then stood up.

"That's my girl." Sam muttered to himself and ran after her as they made it to the group.

"Okay, here's the new plan that was an old plan, Tina when Ember first appeared and I had you sing to release everyone from the spell, do you remember that?" Dani asked rhetorically and Tina nodded as everyone else but Talia and Danny did as well and grimiest as they remembered her bad singing. "Well, you and Vincent are going to steal a microphone from the DJ booth and hack it to reach from far away to the speakers. Then Sam, James, Aunt Talia, and Danny are going to sneak into the venue and pretend to be hypnotized to keep an eye on everything, I will take care of Ember." Danny said then they all got to work on their parts of the plan, Tina and Vincent got the microphone and met back up with Dani as Tina hacked it to be long distance.

Sam, James, Talia, and Danny hid in the rafters of the venue to keep an eye on the venue, now it was just Dani's part of the plan. Dani sighed as she held the microphone as Tina hacked it up to the speakers in the venue and gave the thumbs up. Inside the venue the speakers made a sound as if being hooked up to something else as everyone hypnotized, including all the heroes, looked at them in confusion and Ember who looked confused as well. They all exited the venue and didn't see anything until they looked up to see Dani in her formal dress again as the four team Phantom spies stood behind everyone, Ember at the front.

Dani: Tried my best to find a melody.
I won't give up now

Everyone in Dani's family was shocked that she could sing and smiled as Ember looked angry but smirked at her as Dani glared.

Ember: Been alone for too long, but now I'm feeling strong.
My friends are part of me, don't think that I will flee.
This is the moment, and now is the time.

Ember sang as she flew up to Dani as Dani flew around away from Ember who was chasing her, trying to get her to stop.

Dani: So I'm finding my way.
Facing my fears every day,

Dani sang as they stopped and Ember was trying to keep everyone in her control.

Ember: You'll never sing like me,
So try and you might see the challenge excites me.
I'm letting you know.

Dani: With a song in your heart...

Dani and Ember: There's nothing that you can't do.

Some of the hypnotized victims shook out of their daze and team Phantom was smiling as they watched them all shake out of control.

Dani: So I'm finding my way, getting stronger every day.

Ember: Won't sing alone, don't ask me to.

Dani: With a song in your heart there's nothing that you can't do.

Ember: You'll never sing like me.

Dani: I'll try and you might see.

Ember: The challenge excites me, I'm letting you know.

They both sang as they flew back into the venue and by then almost everyone was out of Ember's hypnosis state, including the batfamily, as Robin looked at Dani in shock.

Ember: Through thunder and lightning, I'll never stop fighting

Dani and Ember: 'Cause when it's all up to you
With a song in your heart there's nothing that you can't...

Dani and Ember raced to the top of the stage trying to beat one another to the top to win.

Ember: Do-o-o-o-o...

Dani: Do-o-o-o-o...

Ember: Do-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o...

Dani: Time to be free-ee ooh!

Dani made it to the top first and Ember looked around to hear everyone cheering and clapping for Dani then she was sucking into a Fenton thermos. Dani twists the cap back on and puts it on her belt as she smiled and waved at everyone when they all cheered for her.
