Finally the weekend is here! You finally don't have to wake up at the crack of dawn!
Once you wake up you look out the window and already see people rushing around the city.
You sigh in relief that you don't go through that.
You look over at Gwen's bed and see her bed empty. You frown.
"Where could she have gone?" You ask yourself.
Then you hear a buzz come from your phone and pick it up to read the notification.
It was from an unknown number?
It read, "Hey it's Miles from school, Gwen gave me your number, I was hoping we could meet up soon, maybe at 7pm If your free?"
Oh it was that nice boy from the first day of school.
You gladly accepted and texted him back.
"Hey thanks for reaching out, I'll meet up with you, we could go get dinner somewhere it doesn't have to be nice it could be just burgers or something <3"
After you sent the message you put your phone down and get out of bed. You brush your teeth and put some clothes on.
You realize you don't have any other plans today and decide to go home.
On your walk home you put your headphones in and jam out until you reach your apartment.
Once you've walked up the stairs you knock at the door and wait patiently until someone answers.
Your brother Jack answers and opens the door.
"I'm so happy your back Y/n, the house has been so lonely without you!" Jack cries.
"Awww I missed you too buddy" you say to him and reach out your arms for a hug.
"Sike!" Jack says and punches your arm.
Jack runs away to his room and laughs.
"Omg Jack f you!" you shout.
You walk in and hang your coat on the hanger and sit on the couch. Then you sniff the air and smell something "burning?"
Your eyes widen and you rush to the kitchen and open the oven.
Smoke rushes out and once you inhale it in your lungs you started coughing instantly.
"Mom! Your cookies are burning" you yell.
Your mom comes rushing and puts an oven mitt on and grabs the tray.
"Oh no! Well thank you sweetheart for getting it. How was your week at the new school?" Your mom says.
"It wasn't a full week mom" you tell her"
"Ohh just pretend" she says jokingly.
"Well actually it wasn't that bad I made a couple new friends and met my roommate Gwen" you say happily.
"Aww that's great sweetie!" Your mom says.
Your mom is throwing the cookies away when she asks, "so have you talked to any boys yet!" She asks poking you.
"Well there's this boy Miles-"
"OMG YOUR FIRST BOYFRIEND" your mom yells.
"No, No, No, Mom he is NOT my boyfriend" you say blushing with embarrassment.
"Aww your blushing, well he seems like a nice boy, tell him he can stop by here anytime he likes" your mom says.
Your mom goes back to throwing away the cookies and you go back to the couch.
You hear a ding again and it was from Miles.
Miles: "Sounds good, I know a good burger place I'll send you the address it shouldn't be that far from you"
Y/N: "Ok great! See you later then"
You close out of iMessages and hold the phone close to your chest.
"Wait why am I getting so flustered about this, it's not a date it's just a meeting between two friends... I think"
You lay down on the couch and wait till it's time.
Wow a possible date with a boy??!!
